Easy Halloween Decorating Ideas for Kids
Homemade Halloween decorations for kids to make
- Serves: 1 spooky Halloween garland decoration
- Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 24 black chenile stems
- 1 roll of string or ribbon
- 12-24 pkg of Halloween foam or paper cut outs
- Construction paper to trace if you make your own shapes
- Hole Punch
Instructions
1. Cut your shapes (ghost, pumkins, bats) out of your construction paper. You will need about 12 or 24 cut outs depending on how long you want your decoration to be. Or skip this step and buy prepurchased cut out paper or foam decorations.
2. Optional: Let the kids decorate their cut outs using what ever material they have on hand (markers, crayons and sparkles).
3. Take your hole punch and punch a hole in the top of each of the cut outs, then take one chenile step and guide it through the hole. Twist the ends together to create a loop. Continue with the next decoration until finished.
4. Take your string or garland, feed it through each of the chenile stem loops, and when finshed hang the decoration up.

Dimensions of each pumpkin: Small: 9" high x 11" diameter, Large: 12" high x 17" diameter (Both 120 V)
