Halloween Homemade Decorations: What if I have Two Left Hands?
The greatest part of handmade Halloween ornaments is that the whole family can produce them and it enables you to spend some time together. Many Halloween ornaments can be made by virtually any age child. For instance, your toddler can help and by the way learn how to paint, draw and color.
Of course, this necessitates some supplies from the craft shop. Here is the basic craft equipment needed:
- Various craft paintings: black, white, orange, etc. (pots)
- Gold and silver paint (pots or spraying cans)
- Colored pipe cleaners
- Silver, gold, black and white markers
Obviously, most households already have standard craft supplies like a pair of scissors, glue and tape.
And So, let's begin our crafting project: it's going to be a pleasure!

Halloween Homemade Spiders
- The first crafts we are going to produce are spiders, they are quick and elementary crafts and spiders are among the most favorite Halloween symbolic representations. It is the most inexpensive craft as it necessitates recyclable material.
- An egg carton;
- 8 Pipe cleaners;
- 1 pot black paintings;
- Pair of scissors
Here is the material you'll need:After you have cut each and every egg cup, paint them black, add points to feature the eyes with white or orange paint and make four small holes on two lateral faces of the cups. Insert a black or colored pipe cleaner in each hole and stick or glue them to the cup. Shape the pipe cleaners and you're finished.
The possibilities for making unique Halloween homemade decorations are endless, just find some items to make, get the necessary material and spend some time with your children creating your own and personalized decorations.
Easy to Make Halloween Decorations
Recycle, recycle!!!
Pumpkin Jar
Here is a first idea on how to recycle your former Halloween decoration items.
If you have one or more glass or plastic transparent jars, fill them with small plastic or ceramic pumpkins; alternate pumpkins with maple berries and leaves.
Have bigger jars? You will reuse them as well: paint the jars black, white, gold, orange, or whatever color you want and pour in your Christmas lights.
Halloween Homemade Illuminations
This is an original and unusual Halloween homemade decoration. For this, you will re-use materials you already have; whether it's from the last holidays or things you have in the attic or the cellar.
Paint little jars; their shape is not important and can be any shape you want for as long as you paint them black, white and/or orange. Make use of a gold or silver marker and draw a few Halloween shapes on them and insert a tea light candle into each jar (for greatest effect, make use of scented tea light candles).
Here's an example of a painted jar: paint a jar white, draw the eyes and mouth of the murderer in Scream and in five minutes you get an unique and customized ghost light.
Place your Halloween candles on a black tray and put the finishing touches (i.e. insert mini pumpkins, maple berries and leaves, etc.)

Halloween Snow Globe
Featured recycled decoration idea
- A Halloween Snowglobe can be made from an old glass jar, plastic bugs and small stones.
- Clean out the glass jar and dry.
- Fill the jar with Karo syrup and place the stones and plastic bugs in the jar.
- The top of the jar can be sealed in place with some silicone caulking to prevent the liquid from escaping.
- Once the caulk has dried and the rim of the jar is secure, the Halloween Snowglobe will be slimy
To create this Halloween decoration, simply:
Tip: pimp up your Halloween Snowglobes by adding food coloring into the jars!
A Few Other Great Halloween Homemade Decorations

What? No, I buy new decorations each and ever year!
Funny Colored Pumpkins
Here is a very unusual idea that will let you reuse your Halloween decorations while economizing some money.
If you have some ceramic pumpkins, you should reuse them. Indeed, rather than buying new Halloween decorations, paint those you wish to throw away with gold or silver spraying can for a luxurious decoration; black and/or white for a monochrome style, etc.
Take a black, white, silver or gold marker and draw a few shapes on these new pumpkins such as black cats, white witches, a black mansion...
Children love bright colors therefore you would wish to paint your pumpkins in various bright colors such as orange, green, etc. Draw Halloween shapes on the pumpkins.
Teenagers will appreciate pumpkins painted with metallic colors, glow-in-the-dark, sparkling colors.
And More Halloween Homemade Decorations
Recycled Hat of a Witch
If you kept your pointy black hat from last Halloween, here is a really original and quick manner to recycle it. All you have to do is stick Halloween items like spiders and cobwebs or fake hands or fingers, and pin the hat to your front door.
You may even reuse the hat for Thanksgiving by exchanging the Halloween items with leaves, berries, and other Fall items.

Homemade Halloween Centrepiece
If you have a basket for bread, you won't have to spend a dime to make this nice centerpiece as you can reuse your existing Halloween decoration items.
Directions:
Fill the basket with some maple leaves;
Add cobweb, mini pumpkins, spiders...
Money saving tip: keep the basket for Thanksgiving as by just removing the Halloween items and placing grapes and pine cones into the basket you'll easily move from one holiday to the other one.
Get Ready for Trick or Treating!
Gather as many little pumpkin plastic containers as possible and fill them with candies. Voila! Treats are ready to be offered to the children who will knock on your door on Halloween Eve.
