We would not have to wear a buckskin style dress to create our Halloween Costume as an Indian Maiden. After the white settlers became known to Native Americans their dress changed. A Native American woman might be found wearing a simple cotton dress with a colorful blanket to keep her warm. Much like this lovely young girl who posed for Edward Curtis in 1899.

    I'd want to wear the costume just to get those boots! I've lensrolled this to my pilgrim costumes for Halloween and Thanksgiving (which I need to change the title as it includes Indian costumes too).
