Halloween night supper food ideas....
It's always nice to serve up a really spook-tac-ular supper for Halloween night. The traditional foods just won't do for this oh so special evening of tricks and treats. You need a dish that is going to rock the socks off of the munchkins residing in your home. So what are you serving up?
Perhaps a yummy mummy meatloaf might just be a desirable main meat fare to place on your supper table for All Hallows Eve. After all, what else would the ghosts, goblins, and ghouls in your house expect to eat before a night of haunting the local neighborhood takes place.
Halloween Mummy Meatloaf Recipe:
Ingredients you will need are:
1 to 2 pounds of hamburger (All depends on how many monsters you want to feed)
1 egg
3 slices of bread
2 sticks of celery
1/2 onion
1/2 cup milk or 1/4 cup mushroom soup (Your choice)
1 small box lasagna noodles
2 small slices cheddar cheese
1 olive sliced in half
Your choice of spices.
Start with the hamburger....put it into a medium sized mixing bowl.
Chop in your onion and celery...
Add in your egg, milk, or mushroom soup....
Break your bread in bite sized pieces and add it in...
I used garlic, seasoning salt, and pepper but you can now add in whichever seasonings you prefer...
Mix it all up and put it into a round cake pan. Try to keep the top rounded up...
Bake at 350 degrees for around forty-five minutes...while it is baking you can begin fully cooking the noodles.
When it is cooked pull out your meatloaf...
Gently remove the meatloaf from pan and put faceup on a serving plate...
Place cheese slices where the eyes will go. In a little while you will put one half of an olive on each slice.
Butter, then cut lasagna noodles in half, and lie them over the face of your meatloaf like a mummy wrap...
Gummy worms and a gaping mouth can be used for added effect....boo.

- When I cooked up the mummy meatloaf I made two of them. The one for kids I put in peas and carrots instead of onions and celery. The kids really liked the kid version of this Halloween food.
