Choosing a Pull String Pinata or a Traditional Pinata

You have choices when it comes to buying your Pinata. You have your Pull String Pinata and you have your Traditional Pinata. So here is the difference:
Pull String Pinata: A Pull String Pinata comes with strings that attach to the bottom of the trap door of your pinata. Only one string that is attached will open the Pinata and release the goodies. Each child takes a turn and pulls a string to see if the one they choose will open the door. This keeps going until the correct string is pulled.
Traditional Pinata: A Traditional Pinata is the kind you get to smash open with a Pinata Buster or a Broom Stick Handle, Bat etc... This is done by the kids taking turns and getting to swing and hit the Pinata until they bust it open to reveal all the goodies.
Each one is fun for the kids and depends on your preference. Most Traditional Pinatas can be converted to a Pull String Pinata with a Pull-String Pinata Kit. For me I prefer a Traditional Pinata - I guess I like to smash things.

Tips and Ideas

So when it comes to filling your Pinata I am a big fan of Non Candy Fillers, BUT no Pinata would be fun for the kids without some small candy and yummy treats. I recently did a blog post on my party blog all about Non Candy Pinata Fillers and Games that is definitely worth reading.
Now I must tell you about one of my favorite places to shop for Pinata Candy and that is CandyWarehouse.com. You will find so many candy choices there it will blow your mind. They have candy for every theme, character and taste. Even candy for us adults that we remember having as children.
Now the main reason I am mentioning them is because at CandyWarehouse.com you will find a large selection of Halloween Candy - from the Traditional, Scary and very Gross kind. They even have a section called Fear Factor Candy - now that is full of some fun gross candy. So if you want to add even more fun to filling your Pinata then I highly recommend you stop and see all the choices you have right there.

- I never even thought about Halloween themed pinatas before. It's the perfect thing for Halloween isn't it? I like the idea of a string pulled pinata. I recently was at an event where they had the kind that you hit to open and it was kind of scary how aggressive the kids were getting, and how hard it was to get them to stop swinging. 5*
