As kids' books go, this is a great little book with a nice large font and great photographs and pictures. There's a little bit about what a pumpkin is--a fruit or a vegetable--and then some history, and then the uses of a pumpkin for halloween. Each page has only about two or three sentences at most for young readers. At the end, there is also a great little glossary with pictures of items covered in the book. This would make a perfect little Halloween gift for the "pumpkins" in your life! ~Donald G Fox
