Spooky Science Experiments & Demonstrations

In science education, it's my goal to let everyone-kids, teachers and parents, get excited about science...It's especially fun when we're talking about and doing the scary, freaky, gross, scream inducing kind of science experiments that tend to show up around Halloween!

Let's explore different Halloween related experiments for kids and the science behind them~

With some common household materials (some may require a trip to your local drugstore or grocery store), you can create spook-tacularly scientific stuff like slime, or a random eerie scream in a short amount of time!

Safe Science First

The sciteacher's disclaimer

Safety and science go hand in hand. Most, if not all, activities and experiments are designed to be enjoyed by kids, but should be done under the direct supervision of an adult. As with all science based activities, children should take care to not put materials into their mouth (no eating/drinking in the science lab!), unless specifically directed to do so by a responsible adult (sometimes you can make edible science creations). Also, it is always a good idea to wash hands well after experimenting.
That said...let's do some creepy, spooky science!
