Step by step guide to pumpkin carving

Welcome all to my spooky lens on how to carve Wizard-tastic pumpkins! Here I'll show you how you can make any Halloween party really special, all you need is some pumkin carving tools, a bowl, a marker pen, an apple corer, some kitchen towel,a pumpkin and a little time and patience! Are you ready, lets get started.

How Tickety Carved a pumpkin for Halloween

Stage 1

It was a cold crisp autumn night,

The full moon shone with a pale blue light

upon an old castle in the Magic tree wood,

Where the old wizard lives so happy and good.

There's a pumpkin sat there upon his table,

He'd quite like to carve it, but is he able ?

Grabbing some kitchen towel, says "I love Halloween!"

Wipes the outside of the pumpkin making sure that it's clean.

Firstly he draws out the shape of a lid,

His dad showed him how when he was just a small kid.

Stage 2

Tickety drew a large picture onto the skin,

Which looked really good on this orange pumpkin.

He takes out his wooden bowl, scoop and saw,

From his rickety old cupboard next to the door.

He cuts round the lid, carefully lifts it out,

puts it on the side and then looks about.

"Now where is that Scoop?" Well you'd never believe.

It was there on the table tucked under his sleeve,

Tickety using the scoop with the greatest of care,

Scraped out pumpkin into the bowl standing there.

Making sure two centimetres thickness was left round each side,

Checking it twice with his eyes open wide !

Stage 3

Turning the pumpkin, his picture looked fine,

He'd now take his time and follow each line.

He reached for his saw, making his first cut,

Held his tongue in his teeth and tapped with his foot.

Stage 4

After many minutes and seconds had past,

The Wizard shouted out "at last!"

What was left to do " I need a hole in the lid"

Grabbing his apple corer, thats just what he did.

Stage 5

"Ahh I need a candle to make my lantern bright!"

So he looked in his store, for one he could light.

He lit the candle, wiped the pumpkin clean,

And said " Now I'm all ready for this Halloween!"

Happy Halloween !!!!
