Trick-or-Treat is the cry heard throughout the land at Halloween. When children go house to house looking for treats, and some go looking for mischief.

Tricks or Treats?
Trick-or-treating is a custom for children on Halloween. Children proceed in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy, or sometimes money, with the question, "Trick or treat?" The "trick" is an idle threat to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property, such as eggs and flour being thrown at householders' windows if no treat is given.

Fun Halloween Treats: Pumpkin Balls
Make your own or buy a kit.
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup white Karo syrup
Combine ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a soft ball boil. Use a candy thermometer to determine when the correct temperature has been reached.
Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon of butter. Pour hot mixture over a large bowl of popcorn and shape by hand into popcorn balls.
Optional: To make your popcorn balls Halloween festive add Halloween colored sprinkles, Reeses Pieces(TM), or Halloween colored M&M's(TM) to the mix before shaping.
