Tonic Water Ice Cubes
Its amazing what tonic water looks like under a black light. Just make sure that tonic water includes the ingredient quinine. This is the ingredient that makes it glow. It gives off an eerie blue/white glow that will add spook to the simplest of things.TONIC WATER ICE CUBES
Dilute the tonic water at a ratio of 2 parts tonic water and 1 part water. Place in ice trays and freeze. Add these cubes to your favorite drinks at halloween and turn on the black light. You guests will be amazed.
Tonic Water Jello
GLOW IN THE DARK JELLO or (RADIOACTIVE JELLO)Another great party recipe - edible fluorescent jello. Here is how to use tonic water with a few tricks to make it glow and taste good.
1 pkg Jello mixture for 4 cups of Jello
1 1/2 cups of sugar (or to taste)
1 cup water
3 cups tonic water
Bring two cups of tonic water to a boil.
Add in the jello powder from the box.
Add in the sugar 1/2 cup at a time, stirring it in completely each time.
One everything is stirred completely and boiling again, remove it from heat.
Stir in 1 cup of cold tonic water and 1 cup of regular water.
Pour into mold.
Set aside in a refrigerator and don't disturb for about 6 hours.
You may also choose to leave out the water and sugar and just use tonic water, this has a somewhat bitter flavor though.
Tonic Water and Body Parts
Since we now know that tonic water emits an eerie blue glow under a blacklight, lets make it scary. You can fill a large glass jar, such as a pickled bologna jar, with tonic water and add a number of different things for that super scary halloween prop. You may want to add severed body parts, a small doll, a small skeleton, eyeballs or anything else you can think of. Glowing Petroleum Jelly
Another scary use for petroleum jelly is glow in the dark hands. You will need to put laytex gloves on your hands first, dip your hands into the petroleum jelly and cover your entire hands. Now, turn off all the lights and turn the black light on. This is the perfect prop for telling scary Halloween ghost stories.
Glowing Laundry Detergent
A lot of laundry detergent on the market today will glow under a black light. The brands that have "bleach added" are the ones that give the best effects. Like the petroleum jelly, use a paintbrush to paint scary messages on things like the porch, house, windows, front walk or anywhere else you can think of. Once again write things like "get out", "help me", "murder", or dip your hands into the laundry detergent and place handprints on the scene. You can do the same with footprints. It is definitely safe to use on clothes, draperies and furniture. You can also paint it on your halloween dummies and props for a glowing affect. Once the black light is turned on, be prepared to be amazed. This is nearly invisible in regular light, so imagine the shock of your guests when the message magically appears. Green Glow
For the natural glowing effect when there is no black light available, try the following concoction. This is perfect for putting into small jars and placing inside pumpkins for a scary, glowing jack o lantern.GREEN GLOW
15 - 20 heads from wooden match sticks
3 caps full of peroxide
1 cap full of bleach
Use a knife of a pair of scissors to remove the heads from the wooden match sticks. Place these into a glass jar. Add the peroxide and the bleach. Tightly close the jar lid and lightly shake. You will get a green glowing concoction that will last for a couple of hours.

Other glow in the dark ideas
Dont forget to outline the epitaph on each of your gravestones with glow in the dark paint for that added effect after dark. Dont let your cemetery go unnoticed after dark.
Another cemetery trick is to select some big leaves from your yard and spray paint the edges with glow in the dark paint. Then place these leaves around the tombstones and around the cemetery. This adds a really creepy effect.
Dont forget the glow in the dark spider webs either. These are great for added creepiness.
