Being a Kiwi, I have never really 'bought into' the whole Halloween thing. In fact, the thought of kids being sent out to knock on doors unsupervised scares the 'boo' out of me. Way too commercial for my liking!

- Celery brooms...trim leaves and heart, separate and wash, cut into 4" lengths, slice 1" up wide end of celery stick into small strips, place in ice water until strips separate and slightly curl.
-Thinly slice cucumber, carrots and or zucchini, bundle 6-8 3" sticks and tie with raffia

- mini ice cream scoop
- good quality vanilla ice cream
- wax/parchment paper
- cookie sheet
- mini chocolate chips
- colored icing for irises (just a dab)
- tube of pink or red gel icing
- For crunchy eyeballs drizzle store bought

Make-up: An Easy Recipe

~2 tablespoons of soft shortening
~4 tablespoons of cornstarch
~Food coloring
**Mix shortening and cornstarch. Separate the recipe into different cups, add food coloring.
**Wash your face and any area that you will be applying makeup to and than dry thoroughly.
**Apply a thin coat of cold cream to the entire face.
**Using a cotton ball, gently pat cornstarch over cold cream. Keep your eyes closed.
**Now apply your homemade make up...get creative!
