A Little Halloween History:

The term Halloween is shortened from All Hallow's Eve which is the Eve of All Hallow's Day which is now known as All Saint's Day. Historically the two days were celebrated on the same day but now All Sain't Day is considered to be the day after Halloween.

It is almost that time of year again. Get out the party decorations and the costumes because it is time to plan the best Halloween party yet!

  • Frozen Orange Jack-o-Lanterns
Martha Stewart's recipe for frozen orange jack-o-lanterns are a fun kid treat low in sugar!

    Ingredients:
    Naval Oranges (one per person)

    Directions:
Cut the top quarter off of each orange and save to use for a lid. Scoop or cut out the inner part of the orange like you would a pumpkin. Feel free to save it and make fresh orange juice. With a craft knife or a sharp knife carve a jack-o-lantern face on your orange. Pack each orange with your sorbet and place the lid back on. Bend floral wire and poke it in the top of the orange but do not go through the lid. Put your pumpkins on parchment paper and place in the freezer until firm, approximately 30 minutes.
