Ghost Cake, Worm Punch, Grape Eyeballs, OH NO! Fun Halloween Reipes For Kids
The kids helped with the preperations. Each one had a specific job to do. We had hotdogs and chips for dinner. They dressed like their favorite rock star. Remember this was the eighties. big hair and lots of make up. Then they popped in their favorite scary movie and the party began.

Early Halloween Party
My Grandkids Had a Blast, With These Easy Hollween Recipes For Kids
The above picture is from 1989. With so many moves and a divorce all of my photos didn't make it.The following photos will be of my grandchildren. We had a blast, making the ghost cake, worm punch and eyeball salad. We had an early halloweeen party so that I could finish this lens.
Just to show you that these recipes are just as much fun now with my grand kids as it was with my kids. No matter what the decade kids will love it and so will you.
Ghost Cake
An Easy Halloween Recipe For Kids
The ghost cake is very easy to make. You will need:1 box cake mix ( make your favorite)
White icing ( it doesn't matter what type or flavor just as long as it is white)
2 oreo cookie halves with cream
1 chocolate mimi donut
Mix cake according to directions on box. Cook in two round cake pans. Cool completely on cooling racks.
When cool wipe away crumbs and put icing on first layer, then set second layer on top, finish icing. Use the two oreo cookie halves( cookie side on icing ) as eyes and the mini donut as the mouth. Wala!!!! A very easy way to make a ghost cake that your little gouls will love.
Ghost Cake Pan
Incase you want a different type of ghost cake.

Worm Punch
They Will Love This Halloween Punch Recipe For Kids
This punch recipe is just as easy as the ghost cake.Fruit punch (it can be pre made or fruit punch cool aide.
liter bottle of ginger ale, sprite or 7-up( depends on how much punch you need)
1-2 bags of gummy worms
Ice
Punch bowl or other container
Take your fruit punch and ginger ale and pore into punch bowl at the same time(equal amounts). Leave enough room for some ice.
Drop a few gummy worms into punch, one or two as if they are climbing out of the punch. Sprinkle some on the table near the punch bowl for effect.
You can use a variety of containers if you don't have a punch bowl: a large serving bowl, or halloween pail for example.
You can also use this recipe and addapt it to another theme by changing the container and the gummy candy ( fish, sharks, snakes, frogs, bears to name a few).
You can also use a different punch. I use this red one on halloween because it's red like blood.
An easy punch recipe any blood sucker would love!!

Grape Eyeball Salad
A Healthier Halloween Recipe For Kids
Here's a way to sneak a healthier snack in at a time when there's Sugar, sugar and more sugar. You will need"Seedless grapes about 4 cups
Sugar free or light cool whip 8oz
light cream cheese 8oz
1/2 cup splenda or sugar if you prefer
Mix coolwhip, cream cheese and splenda together, add grapes and turn until well coated. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Halloween Activities
Fun Halloween Activities to Play With Kids
There are several fun and inexpensive halloween activities to do with your kids.Have a halloween coloring contest,( reward each participant with a treat).
Make your own haunted house in your family room. Dim the lights way down or have the kids wear blind folds. Play some scary music(screams, yells, moans etc..)
In seperate bowls ( cereal bowls work well) put some peeled grapes(eyeballs), cooked spaghetti (worms), jello (brains),room temp.tomato juice (blood). Put these in different places, lead them to each bowl and have them stick in their hands and feel the eyeballs, worms, brains and blood.
Ring toss---take some of your old bangle bracelets and some empty soda bottles (put a little water in them for weight). Toss away!!
Pin the face on the jack-o-lantern---cut out a large paper pumpkin including face parts for jack-o-lantern. If you have a cork board you can use this and blind fold the kids and let each have a turn making a jacj-o-lantern. If you don't have a cork board cut out one for each child, have them sit around the table and put tape on their face pieces . Blind fold them and let them create.
Bottle bowling-- use empty soda bottles and a nerf ball or other small ball suitable for inside.
Story time--- turn off the lights and sit in a circle . Take turns telling stories (they don;t have to be scary) encourage all to participate even the youngest( if it's only a few sentences or words). This is fun to see what they come up with and it exercises thier imagination.
You can use these or come up with your own. Just have fun!!!!
