From the early beginnings of Slipknot's Journey to becoming the metal heavy weights they are today, Slipknot continued to evolve as did there image. When Slipknot starting flirting with their images in the early 90's, the evolution of Slipknot Masks began, but after the 2008 release of the album, the Halloween Slipknot Masks became as popular as ever.
With Nine members, the bad created a mask craze like no other. As their music began hitting the charts, so did the Mask frenzy. This lens has been created to inform and give a history lesson each band member and their masks.

Mick Thompson Slipknot Mask
Known as #7, Mick Thompson Slipknot masks are one of the most popular of all the Slipknot masks. Mick Thompson is a guitarist for the Grammy Winning band "Slipknot". Mick was not one of the original Slipknot members, but joined the band in 1996. Ever since then, Mick has become a Slipknot staple member and has become one of the fan favorites. His Slipknot Masks seem to be the "BEST" of the Group. Joey Jordison Slipknot Mask
Known as #1, Joey Jordison is a co founder and the primary drummer for Slipknot. Joey Jordison's or #1's Slipknot mask has become the second most popular mask for Halloween Slipknot masks and year around masks from fans. Joey is also associated with the metal/ punk band the Murderdolls. Joey has also done work with Korn, Metallica, Ministry, System of a Down, Marilyn Manson, and 3 inches of Blood. Jim Root Slipknot Mask -James
Known as #4, Jim Root is a guitarist for Slipknot and Stone Sour. James replaced original Slipknot guitarist Josh Brainard in 1999. Jim Root originally used a bondage hood. Because he felt it was uncomfortable and distracted him from his playing, James later switched to the Jester style Mask. Paul Gray Slipknot Mask
Known as #2, Paul Gray is the Bass Player for Slipknot. Gray is only one of the three original members that are left, who formed the band Slipknot. Gray has mostly used three types of Slipknot masks, the current version and the popular pig mask. Slipknot 133 Mask -Craig Jones
Known as #5, Craig Jones is the sampler and keyboardist of Slipknot. Craig is also known or goes by 133, Pinhead, or The Silent One. Jones was originally a guitarist supporting the Slipknot Masks, but was replaced by Mick Thompson and moved to the keyboards. Jones is the only member of the crew who hasn't done an interview unmasked. Chris Fehn Slipknot Mask
Known as #3, Chris Fehn is one of the custom percussionists for Slipknot. Chris joined Slipknot in 1997. Fehn as also sang backup vocals on a number of songs. Fehn uses a Tengu-style mask, which is seen in many different colors, with a nose always staying at about 7 ½ inches long. Sid Wilson Slipknot Mask
Known as #0, Sid Wilson is the youngest Slipknot member and does turntables for the group. When Sid was born he had extra fingers, but they were removed after birth. Wilson is better known for his on stage antics, performing crazy stage jumps and picking fights with Drummer Joey. Wilson Slipknot Masks include several gas masks and the Slipknot skull mask. Corey Taylor Slipknot Mask
Known as #8, Corey Taylor is the lead vocalist for the bands Slipknot and Stone Sour. Kory joined Slipknot in 1997. Taylor is currently rank 86 in the Hit Parader's top 100 vocalists of all time. Known as #6, Shawn Crahan is one of the two custom percussionists for the band Slipknot. Better known as the "Clown", Crahan makes his appearance known with unique Slipknot clown masks and makeup. Crahan is the oldest member of Slipknot. Slipknot Uniform
