Volkswagen, what can I say? This is a car that although from Germany has always had a special place in our hearts. We love the design, the logo, the history, the bug "Go Herbie"! It feels like it should have been or could have been a car born right here in the US. From the convertibles to the new SUV's, VW has always done a great job attracting us to their line with their great commercials and creative marketing. This page is dedicated to "Farfegnugen" and for those of you who forgot what that meant! Driving Pleasure! My first was the 63 beetle or "bug". Yeah same year as Herbie the love bug. From the Wolfsburg crest on the tight oversized steering wheel to the ever so classic non threatening hooooooonk. You actually wanted to honk down the street because you were guaranteed to make people smile or even laugh when they heard it. After it was brought back to mint condition I gave it to a collector and bought myself the Jetta treck. A bit older and more adventurous me, loved the packages! A car that came with its own adventurous accesory! What other car manufacturer ever did that for us. It was fast and comfortable and handled amazingly. The VW club was something every major city had in the U.S.. and it made you part of something that only those who owned a Vdub would understand.

This is another one of those classic VW commercials that explans the love that we have for Volkswagens. Think about how many other car makers have vehicles that people will just not let them die in a junkyard. This is a car that is meant to continue and make people happy. 2009 Jetta TDI Clean Diesel awarded Green Car of the Year.
The 2009 Hall Volkswagen is a premium five-passenger European style vehicle available in sedan and sportwagen body styles with S, SE, SEL, and TDI trim levels. The Jetta gets a new sportwagen body and a diesel-fueled TDI engine for 2009.
Three different engines choices are available on the a 2.5-liter, 20 valve DOHC, inline 5-cylinder engine that generates 170-hp and 177 lb-ft. of torque (S and SE); a 2.5L, 20 valve DOHC, inline 5-cylinder engine that produces 170-hp and 177 lb-ft. of torque (SEL); and a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder turbocharged clean diesel engine with common rail direct injection (TDI) that delivers 140-hp and 236 lb-ft. of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is standard and a six-speed automatic with Tiptronic automanual capability is optional. The EPA is estimated at 21/29 mpg (city/highway).
The Jetta TDI sedan and SportWagen are eligible for a $1,300 Federal Income Tax Credit. The Internal Revenue Service has issued a certification letter affirming that the vehicles qualify for the Advanced Lean Burn Technology Motor Vehicle income tax credit.
"The $1,300 tax credit provides an even greater value to the upcoming Jetta TDI sedan and SportWagen," said Mark Barnes, COO, Volkswagen of America, Inc. "Our clean diesel vehicles offer consumers the fuel efficiency that they're looking for while providing power, utility, performance, safety and excellent value."
