Happy Skull hunting!
Halo 3's campaign contains nine levels, which complete the storyline of the Halo trilogy. The campaign can be played through alone, with two-players on one Xbox 360, or played cooperatively with up to three other players via Xbox Live or System Link.
Hidden skulls (based on the Easter egg skulls in Halo 2) can be found on each level; these can be activated to cause changes in gameplay, such as giving the enemies extra health, changing in-game dialogue, or modifying the enemy behavior. These skulls, as well as the difficulty level and the speed at which the level is completed, provide multipliers to the total score. (read more)

There are thirteen skulls in Halo 3. 9 Gold ones which unlock Achievements and 4 Silver ones which do not unlock Achievements but are needed to unlock the Hayabusa Spartan Armor for Multiplayer.
