What does Halocarbon do?
Halocarbon is one of the world's leading producers of specialty fluorochemicals manufacturing inert oils, greases and waxes, aliphatic fluorochemicals, inhalation anesthetics and other specialty fluorochemicals.
Source with confidence and security from a competitive and responsible manufacturer with over 50 years of experience in fluorine chemistry.
Overview
Fluorochemicals
Welcome to the world of Halocarbon fluorochemicals:providing the building blocks for today and tomorrow's pharmaceuticals and agricultural chemicals.
offering best way to introduce a trifluoromethyl group into your molecule.
enabling the manufacture of specialty copolymers.
offering unique properties for special applications.
delivering the highest purity products available.
For over 50 years, Halocarbon has focused solely on fluorochemistry. They were the first company in the world to produce large scale quantities of trifluoroacetic acid and trifluoroethanol. Today, they are the world's leading producer of these and the related compounds you'll find here, delivering hundreds of tons to satisfied customers.
As a mid-size company, they offer the best of both small and large chemical companies - the sophistication to deliver the advanced fluorochemicals you need with small-company responsiveness to your technical and business needs.
In their constantly expanding, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Augusta, SC, they can produce fluorinated building blocks in quantities from grams to tons so, "What can they make for you?"
Overview
Anesthetic Gas
Halocarbon Products Corporation established a division to produce fluorinated anesthetics in 1959 based on their experience with fluorinated chemicals. Fluorinated anesthetics were developed to solve the problem of fires in the operating room caused by the use of flammable anesthetics such as ether and cyclopropane. With the production of fluroxene in 1960, Halocarbon was the first manufacturer of fluorinated anesthetics in the U.S.
Halothane, isoflurane and, in 2008, sevoflurane were the next natural steps for Halocarbon. They are a major producer of trifluoroethanol and hexafluoroisopropanol, the main raw materials for isoflurane and sevoflurane, respectively.
As the first manufacturer of fluorinated anesthetics in the United States, a pioneer in anesthetic purity and a leader in value, let Halocarbon be your source for inhalation anesthetics.

Halocarbon Inert Lubricants
The Safer Choice
Inert, nonflammable, noncorrosive, hydrocarbon free and low toxicity-these are properties of Halocarbon inert lubricants. Halocarbon first commercialized these polychlorotrifluoroethylene-based lubricants over 50 years ago.
Today, They offer a wide range of inert oils, greases and waxes to meet industry's needs worldwide. Their lubricants' inertness is required for safe handling of highly reactive and /or aggressive chemicals such as oxygen, chlorine, hydrogen peroxide, sulfur trioxide and nitric acid.
