Designed by Ensemble studios for Xbox 360 as part of their last project, Halo Wars set in the fictional halo universe is an all new state-of-the-art real time video game.

Eagerly looked forward to by the gaming community, the X box team has ranked Halo Wars as their 7th most eagerly awaited game of E3 2008 series.

While the Halo War site mentioned the involvement of Flood, the events supposed to be taking place on Harvest planet will have five characters called Professor Anders, Captain Cutter, an AI named Serina, an unknown Arbiter and Sergeant Forge.

Expected to be released in the first quarter on March 31, 2009, Halo Wars, a real time strategy genre video game, puts the player in command of human UNSC armies involved in a deadly encounter with the enemy Covenant forces.

Players can join the crew on board a Phoenix-class colony ship called Spirit of Fire adapted for military use and guided by Serina. Players can get ready for wars after bumping on an ancient artifact while journeying to Harvest, the first planet attacked by the Covenant.

Gamers can control real armies in large-scale combat taking sides with either of the two civilizations. One can choose leaders and units, deploy tactics of their choice and field the best possible combination to fight epic battles and crush the enemy.

Eagerly awaited for its February release next year, halo Wars promises to be a truly next generation experience.
