Hamster Ball Derby with a Run-about Ball

The Hamster Ball Derby, an annual event sponsored by Petco, is great fun for all hamster lovers. All you need to participate is a hamster and a hamster ball. Hamsters participate in the derby while in a run-about ball that is guided by a track. First, second and third place prizes are awarded.

During the 'off season' the run-about hamster ball is a great way to help keep your hamster fit in anticipation of the next derby. Just put him in a run-about ball and let him roam and explore while getting some much needed exercise.

The hamster ball is also a great place to put your hamster while you're cleaning his cage. Since the hamster balls are specially designed to fit hamsters perfectly, you're furry friend won't have problems maneuvering around. Just put him in his run-about ball and let him enjoy his freedom.

    I should add, I'd use a Roborovski hamster - if I had one - for the derby. They're pretty darn fast, as long as you have a properly sized ball to match their amazing speed!

    I work at Petco right now (as you know, Pmona). I really hope I get to work on the next Hamster Derby Race!

    But sadly, it'll probably be on a sunday and I'm rarely ever scheduled for those *sigh* It looks like so much fun, but I don't want to be the weirdo who shows up at the store on her days off.

    I have not participated in the Hamster Ball Derby, but I would to do so. My hamster is pretty fast, so I think I might have a winner!
