This ancient artifact allows you to transform other enemy creatures into gold! It takes awhile to recharge, but can pay for itself if you make one soon enough. It's extremely useful against certain dota heroes who might rely on creeps or summons. The hand can take one of them out with a single click.
The item stats below may be outdated. Check the wiki for updates.
Preserved through unknown magical means, the Hands of Midas still retains much of its original potency.
Recipe cost: 1400 gold coins.
Total cost: 1900 gold coins.
Bonuses given:
+30% attack speed.
Bonus ability given (on Hand of Midas activation):
Transmute. Turns target creep (non-magic immune) into a small amount of gold.
There is a cooldown of 100 seconds on this Defense of the Ancients ability.
Be careful while transmuting dota creeps! You get no money and waste the Midas Hand item cooldown if it dies before your little flying golden potion hits it.
Required Items
A recipe (see below for shop) and this item combine to form the equipment:
Human shop
The level 1 recipe shop is located by your dota team fountain. He sells: Boots of Travel, Bracer, Hand of Midas, Headdress of Rejuvenation, Nathrezim Buckler, Null Talisman, Oblivion Staff, Perseverance, Power Treads, Ring of Basilius, Wraith Band.
Who buys this?
The hand of midas is very situational and doesn't really fit into any builds. Basically, if you're not having trouble farming, it might be a good idea to grab one. Otherwise, like everything else in defense of the ancients, it depends...
