Hand Washing Posters

The saying that most everyone uses, is while washing our hands, we should sing "happy birthday". When we're finished singing the song, apparently we've washed our hands for the correct length of time.

Displaying a Hand Washing Poster in your business washroom is one way to "encourage" people to "remember" to wash their hands. It doesn't hurt to have a brief explanation of proper hand washing techniques as well.

Posting something similar to these points wouldn't hurt.

Proper Instructions for Hand Washing with Soap and Water:

1. Wet your hands with warm, running water and apply liquid soap or use clean bar soap. Lather well.

2. Rub your hands vigorously together for at least 15 to 20 seconds.
Scrubbing all your hand surfaces including the backs of your hands, wrists, between your fingers and under your fingernails.

3. Rinse well.

4. Dry your hands with a clean or disposable towel or under the hand dryer.

5. Use a towel to turn off the faucet. (so as not transfer "germs" back to your hands.

Sounds simple doesn't it? Almost too simple to post, yet how come not everyone does this? Sometimes reminding people about the "simple" is necessary. Think about it, we're living busy lives, we dash to the washroom most of time in a panic 'cause we waited too long, and let's face it, some people dash out, not because they're not "clean" people, but rather cause their fighting the clock.

So something simple like, basic hand washing instructions, and/or a Hand Washing Poster (a picture is worth a 1000 words), is needed to "slow" us down.
