Great organizations helping pups live a longer, happier life!
Just within the last few months, my best neighbor dog has had lots of trouble walking and her back legs can't support her body anymore.
It got me thinking...what resources are there to help us pups if we are injured, disabled, or suffer from disabilities when we get older? So, we went searching.
Here we bring you lots of info on handicapped and disabled pets, what resources are there to help, available supplies and support groups to help you along.

Hi Johann, I really so so much love your lens, the main reason is my Isabel. She is my paralyzed Belgium Sheepdog, and you'll never believe it but she looks just like you. both of you are gorgeous. Thank you for loving the importance of our pets despite what limitations may come to them. I got her wheels at EddiesWheels, the best people work there, highly recommend them. But the way I lensrolled you to my Isabel's lens. If you would like to compare how you look, she her here. http://www.squidoo.com/Isabels-Story

Oh Johann, this is a beautiful lens! Our kitty, Cleo, is deaf. She came to us from a family of working barn cats because being deaf would endanger her life on a farm. When we were online looking for resources and information about caring for her we were horrified to discover that many breeders and pet "experts" recommend euthanizing cats and dogs born without hearing. So tragic, Cleo is a wonderful kitty with a great life. It breaks my heart that some humans wouldn't even give these guys a chance. Maybe this is tacky of me to say, but, with the chaos and noise of a big family I think deaf pets are a darn good fit. Nothing bothers dear Cleo, she stays mellow and zen when things get loud.

What a sweet topic for a lens - the first dog my family had when I was growing up had a lame leg...but you'd never know it if you only paid attention to her attitude. Woof to you Johann, and tell your mommy she did well here.
