Great organizations helping pups live a longer, happier life!
Just within the last few months, my best neighbor dog has had lots of trouble walking and her back legs can't support her body anymore.
It got me thinking...what resources are there to help us pups if we are injured, disabled, or suffer from disabilities when we get older? So, we went searching.
Here we bring you lots of info on handicapped and disabled pets, what resources are there to help, available supplies and support groups to help you along.

What a sweet topic for a lens - the first dog my family had when I was growing up had a lame leg...but you'd never know it if you only paid attention to her attitude. Woof to you Johann, and tell your mommy she did well here. Posted May 28, 2008 |

My German Shepherd was diagnosed with Degenerative Myelopathy in August 2007. I had never heard of the condition until he started showing the symptoms. He is only 6 years old so we felt it was to soon to let him go. We got him a doggie cart and he is once again a happy boy! He can go on 30-45 minute walks now when before he could only drag himself around outside. He is the hit of our neighborhood in Chicago. I strongly recommend the cart if your dog is still young, has life left in them and the cart could improve their overall well-being.
