Happiness Book

One of our favorite marriage traditions is the Happiness Book. We started this way back in 1964, long before the age of personal computers. In those days, we used folded typing paper and created pages of happy memories of the previous year. We added magazine cut-outs for words and pictures.

Each page starts with the words Happiness Is...
and yours might say
Happiness is.... a trip to the beach
Happiness is ... a special sunset
Happiness is ... the night we saw a falling star
Happiness is ... the birth of our first child
Happiness is ... arriving home from work and finding you here.
Happiness is ...grilling hamburgers.

Keep it simple and real.

These little books are such a treasure to us both! Create a happiness book for your spouse! It's guaranteed to bring a smile!

Create a Cookbook

Family memories seem to revolve around mealtime and special foods from home. Gather 20 to 30 of your family's favorite recipes. Type one recipe to a page. Add family pictures and quotes to each page. Print and place in a 3 ring binder. And you have another gift that family members will enjoy for years to come.

This idea is not limited to families. You can create favorite recipes of your friends, or your own favorite recipes to share with your friends.

Three ring binders can be purchased with a clear front sleeve, so that you can create an amazing cover - an original for each book! Use photographs - people love to see happy photographs of themselves!

"When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things-not the great occasions-give off the greatest glow of happiness."
-- Bob Hope

Personalize your Wrapping Paper

Print full size photos or collages of photos of each family member and use that page to wrap gifts! Imagine looking under your Christmas tree and seeing photos of all your family and friends smiling back at you!

This is a great way for pre-schoolers to help find their own gifts or help with the gift-sorting. Simply print a photo page or tape photos to their gifts. Children and adults love to see their own photo on their gifts!

And you can do this right at home with your own computer and printer!

Free Workbook for the Goal-setter on Your List

This workbook is my own creation. A goal-setting workbook for you to print and give to the goal-setters in your family. The workbook is complete with instructions and is suitable for teens and adults. And yes, it really is free!

All you need to do is print the workbook and place it in a 3 ring binder. Create a beautiful personalized cover. A perfect way to start the new year for anyone on your list.

Memories on Paper

My husband and I are proud grandparents. Somehow he manages to write each little memory with the grandchildren - the funny things they say, the happy things we do together. On special days like Mothers Day and Fathers Day and Christmas, I type as many pages as I can get done, and present to their parents!

Busy parents rarely have time to make notes of these precious sayings and events. What a gift!

Or if you prefer to be more luxurious....

Add your creative ideas here - or just say hello and Merry Christmas!
