Raising Money by Selling a Handmade Quilt
Handmade Quilt is for Sale
Money from the sale of this Quilt will help raise money for College

This hand-made quilt has never been used and is just on the bed for show.
The quilt was made by hand from 100% cotton cloth and is filled with 100% cotton batting. It is hand stitched and hand quilted. The colors are pink and blue with an overall impression of pink.
This beautiful hand made quilt is shown on a queen sized bed but would fit a full sized bed by hanging to the floor or a king sized bed to just cover.
It took many hours to make this quilt. The money from the purchase of this quilt will help to raise money for my daughter's college tuition.
Becca is the Reason that I am Selling this Beautiful Quilt
Raising Money for College
While a member of Puddlejump Players, Becca became interested in set design. As a homeschooling group, Puddlejump Player members were encouraged to help with all aspects of the production. Becca helped with creating, painting, and assembling sets for the various performances.
President of the AeroSpace Society
Accedemic Excellence and Leadership Skills
Because of her leadership skills and academic excellence she was invited to become a member of the National Honor Society.
As president of the Physics Club, Vice-President of the Math Club and President of the AeroSpace Society in her high school she has been recognized as a leader in many seemingly disparate fields and she has found a way to combine them into her field of study.
While in high school Becca became a licensed glider pilot
and was hired not only to give rides but also to run the office and operations
when the owners of the company were not available.
From a class of nearly 800 students, Becca Graduated Outstanding Senior of the year. Now in college she has just aced her first year there. Both engineering firms and costume designers are interested in her work and offering her summer internships once she has completed her junior year.
Becca's Charity Work
Feed the Hungry
When I told her about Squidoo, she saw that as an opportunity to help improve the lives of college students. She made this lens about How to Eat Healthier in College and has chosen to give all proceeds from that lens to Oxfam to help feed the hungry throughout the world.
Becca's Summer Jobs
Raising Money for College
For the first month of summer Becca is busy like most college students. She is working part-time as a manager and waitress at a restaurant where she has worked for the past two summers, she has occasional baby sitting jobs, and she designs and sells hats on commission. Always one to try out new and exciting possibilities, Becca has been hired to help bale hay and herd sheep.Becca was also hired by a conservation group to work on nature trails for a month and then will be headed back to college for training for her fall job as a resident adviser in her dorm.

- Your daughter is amazing. And that tells me you have been an exceptional parent, too. This is a beautiful act of love (quilting for tuition). As one who had to work numerous jobs to pay my way through college (for three degrees), combined with grants, work study, and loans, I know I would have definitely appreciated having a parent create and sell something so beautiful to support my dreams and aspirations. Wishing Becca much fulfillment all along her educational and professional journey.

- Oh, your quilt is so gorgeous. I thought this lens was going to be about making your own quilt WHILE you're in college. That's what I did, I so didn't want to do my homework that I made a quilt instead. Egads. It's not what I would do now. Thanks for visiting my puppet lens of the day! I've enjoyed many of your lenses!

- Beautiful lens and tribute to your industrious and smart daughter. The quilt is lovely; the little pink flowered sections bring up a memory of a quilt my grandmother made. I just know someone is going to buy and cherish that quilt and what it stands for.
