Your daughter is amazing. And that tells me you have been an exceptional parent, too. This is a beautiful act of love (quilting for tuition). As one who had to work numerous jobs to pay my way through college (for three degrees), combined with grants, work study, and loans, I know I would have definitely appreciated having a parent create and sell something so beautiful to support my dreams and aspirations. Wishing Becca much fulfillment all along her educational and professional journey.

Best of luck to Becca. She sounds like an exceptional young adult. You've made a lovely quilt to honor her efforts. Added to the Squidoo quilting angel lens.

Hand crafted quilts have often been used for raising funds because they are such a beautiful heirloom one of a kind item. Beautiful theme.

Oh, your quilt is so gorgeous. I thought this lens was going to be about making your own quilt WHILE you're in college. That's what I did, I so didn't want to do my homework that I made a quilt instead. Egads. It's not what I would do now. Thanks for visiting my puppet lens of the day! I've enjoyed many of your lenses!

Good luck with the sale. I know how hard it is to finance a child through university. Good luck to Becca.

What a lovely quilt. Unfortunately, it would not survive very long with 6 animals on "stand by". I really like your lens though. =)

Beautiful lens and tribute to your industrious and smart daughter. The quilt is lovely; the little pink flowered sections bring up a memory of a quilt my grandmother made. I just know someone is going to buy and cherish that quilt and what it stands for.

I taught myself how to do quilting a long, long time ago but never attempted such a huge project as this! Good luck with raising the money for your daughter to go to College and here's a Blessing from an Angel to give you a boost!

NIce idea for a Lens - and a great tribute to your daughter. I wish you luck in your sale!

I'm not a quilter myself, but I really appreciate the time and work that goes into making one of these works of art. My mother-in-law made us a wonderful bed quilt for a wedding gift and then a quilted wall-hanging for an anniversary gift. I love them both and featured them on my keepsakes lens. I'll lensroll yours to it. I hope you sell the quilt. I can't think of a better cause!

I love to quilt, though mine are simpler than the one you show. I make a baby quilt for each new baby to the family. I have 28 nieces and nephews, many marrying in the last 10 years. The babies are coming faster now. It's hard to keep up.
    Great lens
    Thanks for sharing.

I have made 2 quilts. Well, I've finished one and have the other in sandwich form waiting to be quilted. I also have another still in pieces. I just started and really enjoy it!! I do my work on the machine, but I also took a hand quilting class and realize how much work that is!! I can't imagine doing a WHOLE quilt that way!! 5*s for your lens!
