From the lens Using Twitter to Promote your Handmade Products.

I have to confess that I'm one that just didn't "get" Twitter. Seemed like a lot of noise, and I marked it up to my disposition. (I lean toward the hermit end of things.) The article: Twitter Search: How to Directly Market Your Art (or Anything Else) on Twitter does a good job of addressing those of us who don't quite "get" Twitter.

Helpful hints and suggestions for using Twitter to promote your handmade products. I usually promote my newest, then comment on other handmade artists' listed promos, plus interact with some in a chit-chat form. I don't use Twitter a lot, but it can be fun when you have the time.

Twitter is okay i guess when it comes to socializing with other twits. But as a resident user we ask for more application and other medias.

This is one of the best and most informative resources on Twitter I've found. So many great tips, and your collection of links is extremely thorough! I found lots of helpful goodies here!

I just recently began using Twitter to network in hopes of interacting with clients, as well as other freelancers and creative professionals, and promoting my freelance Graphic Design and Illustration business. It's good to know I'm on the right track, and I learned SO much more from this lens!

    Thanks so much! Five stars.

Thanks so much Margo. I'm sure it applies pretty well to most business but my specialty is small handmade products so that's where I like to focus when I write lenses like this.

Well, your check list is great. My product is information, but I think it applies the same way. ***** My only problem is that I don't know whether to put this in my Squidoo library lens, SEO branch or Business branch. I think I am going to have to put it in both!

This is a cool lens, Noadi - and thanks especially for the info about the FireFox extensions - I didn't know anything about them before I read this lens. Good job!
