Painting with Dots
This is a Great Way to Create Fun Glasses
This is a great way for someone who might not be able to paint freehand, to actually be able to paint and still turn out a lovely project. You could begin by tracing out an outline of a design, and then filling in the spaces with dots. You could use all of the same colored dots, or vary them. For example, if you wanted to paint a tree, why not use a brown dots for the tree trunk and branches? Once that part is complete, fill in with green for the leaves. Some artists will use black for the tree and vary the color of dots for the leaves based on the seasons.
You can make a variety of other designs such as flowers and hearts with polka dots. Use one color for the center of the flower and circle that part with a different color, simulating the flower petals. For a heart, you can place two dots side by side with just a little space in between, then place a dot at the bottom of those to complete the heart.
Dots may be created using a variety of items. Pencils tips make nice dots, as do using a dulled end of a tooth pic. For large dots you could use the eraser part of a pencil, which has not been used for erasing. The end of a paint brush also is a nice dotting tool. You will also find tools which have been made especially for this job, at your local craft store, such as a stylus.
It really is not necessary to spend money on tools to be used for this purpose. It really is up to you. It might be fun to look around your home, to see what all you can find to use for your design.
One important item to keep in mind when painting with dots, they will typically be more dimensional than regular painting. This will cause them to be thicker, needing more time to dry. Make sure you allow for this when you use this technique.
Tear Drop Stroke
Brush Strokes
This stroke may be painted two different ways. You can hold your brush perpendicular to the painting surface, apply pressure so that the bristles are spread on the surface. Pull the brush toward you as you gradually ease up on the pressure. You will end on the chisel.
The second way to do this stroke is to start on the chisel and gradually apply pressure. Continue to apply pressure until you have the rounded tear drop. Lift the brush directly up from the position, ending on the tip.
As with any of the strokes, it may take practicing to get it just right. Just keep in mind, the more you practice the better you will be. As you learn the different strokes you will be able to add more interest to your designs.
To Begin to Learn Brush Strokes
Learning to Paint
It may be important for you to find what is most beneficial for you as an artist. I do not hold my brush like I would a pencil. I try to keep my hand up off the surface and the brush perpendicular. That is what seems to work best for me. It also keeps my hand from gliding over the freshly painted surface.
Where you start the brush strokes depends greatly on which hand you are using. I often tell my students to get a feel for the direction that is most comfortable for them. I am left handed so, I typically start from the left and do my strokework to the right. I can actually do it either way. Being able to go in both directions, makes it easy to create a nice design. Some may only be able to paint going in one direction, and may have trouble painting on large objects that cannot be turned while being painted on. One such object that comes to mind would be decorative painting on walls.
As an artist, it is important to try different techniques and determine the best fit for you.
Do Not Overwhelm Yourself When You Begin
Follow Your Passion
If you are like me, you will have several projects floating around in your head. Try to keep in mind that you can really only do a good job if you are working on one project at a time. Sit back, relax and choose the first one to work on. The others will get done eventually!
It is not really a goal unless it is written down, so what are you waiting for? Identify the project of choice. Start your list with the supplies that will be needed. Once you get started, you surely will not want to stop to go find a piece that is missing.
The next step in your process should be writing down each step that needs to take place in order to complete your project. Set up your work station and you should be ready to begin. Organization is key to a successful and enjoyable outcome. Most importantly, remember to have fun!

A Party In a Bag
Hand painted plastic plates and cups for your entertaining needs.
Hand painted clear plastic plates and cups are a great way to provide a simple yet classy event. They are food safe since the design is painted on the back of the plate. Your food will never come in contact with the paint. The paint is also non-toxic. It is very durable and plates and cups may either be thrown away once they are used, or you may hand wash them to be reused for your next event.
This is also a way for you to have a design custom made for you. You will not have to use what is available at your local party or grocery store. The colors can even be custom mixed to match the colors of the event. These are great to use at birthdays, anniversary parties, dinner parties, and even weddings. You do not have to spend a fortune to have a lovely gathering.

Acrylic Paint
The best paint for your project
Acrylics are water based which makes them easy to clean out without having to use harsh chemicals. You do not have to be afraid of being around harmful vapors or having to be in well ventilated areas. This also is less costly for you since you do not have to buy products to remove the paint. You can really use many household products that you may already have.
Another great feature of many acrylics is that they dry fast. This can make it easy for you to complete a project and move on. This is especially helpful if you are painting several pieces for a project and need to meet a time requirement for the project to be complete.
The type of acylic you choose will depend on your project and your own preferences. Learning what works best may take some time. It often requires you to experience some trial and errors before you determine what product works for you. I also recommend not being afraid to ask someone whose does similar work, and work that appeals to you. Many are willing to share their knowledge.

Fun "Girl's Night Out" Painting Party
Paint Your Own Wine Glasses
This is an easy project that can be completed within a few hours. You really do not need to have a lot of room for the painting to be done. It really is not that messy either. It is actually pretty easy to keep the paint contained. Only a small amount of paint is needed to paint the glasses with.
The glasses are painted with acrylic enamel paint. It dries to the touch quickly and can be helped with this process by using a heat gun or blow dryer. The paint cures within 21 days if air dried, or it may be baked at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The choice is yours. You decide if you have the time to allow the glasses to dry for 1 hour prior to baking them. You will need to add the preheating time to the baking time. Normally allow 50 minutes from preheating to the glasses being finished. Place them in the oven cold and remove them once completely cooled.
After the class is finished, you will walk away with the knowledge to paint other glasses and continue on creating lovely art. These glasses will make great entertaining pieces for your guests and even wonderful gift giving ideas for future occasions. Do not be afraid, just jump in and have fun with your friends!

Picking Your Paint Brushes
What Paint Brush Should You Use?
You might be asking yourself, what brush should I use if I were painting lilacs, wisteria, or wanting to add texture to my shading? That's right, the Scruffy Brush would be your brush of choice! It is also a great brush when you are painting fur and doing faux finishes. This brush is wetted prior to using it. You should gently twist the bristles around so you create an oval shape, and then you are ready to dip in to your paint and let the pouncing begin! Clean up consists of pounce the bristles and not racking them. Racking may cause the bristles to break off. You can pounce the brush in a paper towel after cleaning, to ensure all of the paint has been removed. Allow this brush to dry before using it again.
The Flat Brush is probably one of the most common brushes used, especially for those who do the One Stroke Technique. This brush has longer bristles and less thickness in the body if you are using the One Stroke Brushes. It has a sharp chisel edge. Many strokes will begin and end on the chisel part, so it is important for your brush to have a nice edge. Your designs will be so much crisper and cleaner if they are.
To begin painting with a flat brush just dampen the bristles and dry off with a paper towel. You are now ready to begin. You are now ready to load your brush. Remember, if you are doing the One Stroke Technique it is very important to load your brush so it is two thirds of the way full. The more paint on your brush, the better the flow will be. When you are finished, just gently rack your brush back in forth in your caddy to remove the paint.
Script Liners liners are great for adding ribbons, curlicues, and smaller detail to your painted pieces. Often these are used with more of an inky or thinned consistancy paint. Clean the liners as you would the flat brushes.
Believe it or not, it is possible to paint a beautiful piece of art using just one type and size of a brush. There are many more to select from than is mentioned here. These are just a few, which seem to be good ones to start off with. You are the artist so choose what works best for you!

Painting Your Own Valentine's Day Gifts
Gifts From The Heart
You can be as creative as you want with this project. Hearts of course are a nice design to include. Words relating to love are also nice to be added to your pieces. If you are not able to do freehand designs, polka dots with different colors and sizes can really make a glass interesting. I cannot stress enough that you do not have to be an artist to be able to paint on glasses. It is really up to you how creative you get. Simple designs often are much nicer than going over the top with too much color and interest.
Painting your own Valentine's gifts is really special and can show someone truly how much they mean to you. A gift from your heart is worth so much more than an expensive store bought gift. Give the special people in your life something with true meaning that can last a lifetime!

One Stroke Brushes
Use the correct brush for your project.
The brushes for Glass and Ceramics are soft. This allows them to hold the paint nicely in the brush, while moving smoothly over the slick surface. They also keep the brush strokes from being as noticeable as they might be with a regular brush.
The fabric brush bristles are harder and hold up well while painting on fabric. This is a little trickier since the paint does not flow as easily on this type of surface. The One Stroke Fabric brushes will assist you in creating a beautiful final project that you will be proud to wear.
It does not matter if you are painting on glass or fabric, the brushes in this line hold up very well to frequent use. They rarely lose their bristles. What you may find after several uses is the bristles losing their shape. If you take care of them properly and reshape them after using, you will extend their life. They are reasonably priced which makes them practical to use on your decorative painting projects.
Proper Cleaning of Your Paint Brushes
Get Good Performance From Your Paint Brushes
These instructions for paint brush care are related to water based paints such as acrylic enamels. To begin gently clean your brushes with water. Make sure you wash them thoroughly.
You can use either liquid soap or a bar of soap. Make sure you work the soap through the entire bristle part clear up to the ferrule. Once you have worked the soap in, it is very important to rinse the brush to make sure all of the soap has been removed.
After you have completed the cleaning of the brush, dry the bristles on a clean rag or paper towel. At this time you are able to shape the bristles as they are drying. Lay the brush flat to dry and when you have placed them where you store them. Never put your brush resting down on the bristles, as this will distort it's shape and you will not be able to get a good performance from it. It might even cause permanent damage to the bristles, and not being good for future use at all.
Never allow your paint to dry in your brush. As you are painting it is a good idea to occasionally rinse the brush out. It is very important to store your brushes in a place where you are able to keep the bristles from being bent, allowing them to maintain their shape.

How to Hand Paint Oil Bottles
Oil Bottles can be Great Housewarming Gifts
I do not bake these because I do not like to mess with taking off the top of the bottle. I'd rather leave it sealed until is it ready to be use. This will help keep them clean on the inside until that time arrives.
To prepare the bottle for painting, I clean the exterior with rubbing alcohol. I then paint the bottles with acrylic enamel paint that will cure within 21 days. After completing the painting of my design I allow the bottle to dry for at least 8 hours. I then add a coat of outdoor waterproof varnish for added protection. I allow the varnish to dry for a least a few hours prior to preparing it for shipping. Often I will air dry it overnight to make sure it is completely dry before boxing it up.
These bottles look nice if you paint just one side of the bottle or cover the entire bottle. In a few short minutes you can create a masterpiece to sit out on your countertop as part of your kitchen decor, whether you are using it as your soap dispenser or for your olive or dipping oil. They can really be a lovely inexpensive addition to your home.

One Stroke Painting Technique
Loading Your Paint Brush
One of the most important things to remember when you are learning to paint using this technique, is to make sure you load your brush correctly. Often painters are afraid of over loading their brushes. In order to achieve your desired designs, you have to make sure you have plenty of paint on your brush.
The first next step is to choose two colors that you would like to use for your design. Dip one side of your brush into the first color, and then dip the other side in the remaining color. Now begin to move the brush back and forth to blend the paint. Continue to add paint and repeat these steps until your brush is loaded 2/3 of the way up the bristles. You should be ready to begin your painting at this point.
As you paint it is important you continue to use paint, and do not hesitate to keep adding more to your brush. It is not necessary for you to do the blending part after adding more paint to your brush. If you feel at any point your brush is getting over loaded, you may wipe the excess off with in your paper towel or rag. Make sure your brush is still load up to 2/3 of the brush.
You do not necessarily have to clean your brush in water when you are switching to new colors. It could add interest to your design if you simply remove the excess paint with a paper towel or rag, and then dip your paint one side at time in to the new colors and begin to blend. Also, if you would like to paint using more then two colors this is possible to. Just load your brush as you normally would with the two colors and then tip your brush in to the third color on one side of the brush. Typically, I would add this to the side that is the accent color. This is up to you since you are the creator of the painting.
Just remember, if your brush is loaded correctly this will allow your paint to flow easily. If your paint is easy to work, this will enable you to create a masterpiece!

Painting on Glass Tile Pendants
It Is Easy to Create a Unique Necklace
The main difference when you are painting on the glass tile as opposed to a wine glass, is the size of the space that you have to paint on. Some may feel this is better since you do not have to deal with as much design space, however for many it can be harder since the details are smaller and this often makes them harder to do. For many it seems to be easier to do quality work in larger spaces, because this allows you more room to control your brush strokes.
The clear glass tiles come in a few different sizes. I would recommend starting with the larger sizes that would still be appropriate for a necklace pendant, and gain experience on this size first. Move to the smaller sizes once you have mastered these.
Keep in mind if you mess up, you can always wash off the paint and start over. This is one of the nice things when you paint on glass. It is very easy to correct a mistake or start over if you do not like your design. If you would rather practice on a disposable surface before placing your design on the tile pendant, wax paper is an affordable product to use for practice.
Fun Designs are Easy to Paint on Wine Glasses
Painting Fun Designs
You do not have to know exactly what image you are going to paint when you begin. It is actually a lot of fun to start with an idea and continue to build on it as you go along. You might be surprised how easy it is to come up with ideas as you work. It seems like you just know by seeing it what feels right. You can always wash it off and start over if you are not happy with the finished product. This makes painting on glass a great way to learn how to paint. It is easy to fix a mistake and is not costly, which makes it even better!
If you are not a freehand painter you can select from copyright free clip art to use as your design. If you decide to go this route, you may either use transfer carbon to place the design on outside of your glass, or tape the image on the inside of the glass and paint from the picture. If you use the carbon it is possible you will see the lines from the inside of the glass. If all else fails, it is easy to paint on glass using swirls, squiggles, and polka dots in multi-colors. Let the fun begin!

Great Paint for Coffee Cups
Painting Coffee Cups
This product is very durable. It adheres well to different types of glass including porcelain and clear glass such as wine glasses and martini glasses. It is very transparent, almost stain glass looking when painted on clear glass.
This paint has a different behavior than working with regular craft acrylic paint. It may take some experimenting to get your technique down, however once you find what methods works best for you, the finished product is just great. It will be able to stand up to frequent use.
It is imperative that the directions are followed when using this paint. The 24 hour drying time before baking is really important. If you bake it too soon, it could cause the paint to bubble and ruin your design. You do not want to spend all that time working on your design and then have to throw it away because you did not let it air dry long enough. Be patient and you will have a lovely piece of artwork when you are done. Go on and get busy!

Easy Designs for Painting on Glasses
Suggestions on Designs
I have seen some really neat art work that is made by placing polka dots in random placements all over a piece, or placed together in certain patterns to form a more structured design. Items that can be used to create the polka dots are pencil tips, the eraser on a pencil, the end of a paint brush, and a stylus. These are just a few items that come to mind. I love painting with dots, big and small. They can add more interest even to piece that I am able to hand paint.
Maybe even consider different brush strokes like the dry brush stroke using a flat paint brush. Multiple colored swirls and squiggles all over in different colors can create a festive look. Painting different shapes everyone is familiar with like squares, triangles, and rectangles. That would be a nice contemporary look.
You could even use a sponge and pounce the color on to the glass. It does not have to be a special sponge. Any will do. Keep an open mind and the designs ideas will follow. Remember to have fun. That's what it is all about!

Do You Want to Paint?
Choosing Your Paint
I love paint and try different brands frequently. If I see something new coming out on the market, I immediately research it and find out where I can buy it. I love the internet for that very reason. It is so easy to get online, find the products you are looking for and purchase it right then and there. You don't even have to leave your home or your chair for that matter!
After trying many different types of paints, the one I love the most for most of my projects is the Folkart, Acrylic Enamel Paint. It is made for glass, however I use it on everything I paint except for fabric. I do stick to fabric paints for those projects. I even us it when I do decorative painting on walls!
It is very user friendly and holds up well for most projects that I do. It looks lovely on the walls I have painted and turns glassware from hum drum to WoW! It is a very durable paint and will hold up well for years.
There are many different paints out on the market. Don't be afraid to try new products. It may require learning how to work with it before you use it on a good project, but that is okay. That really is part of the learning process. If you have questions about a paint and the behaviors of it, I am certain you can find an expert who love to share their wisdom with you. Believe me, I have done this many times. I also return the favor and help others who ask me for advice.

Anyone Can Paint
Anyone Can Paint Wine Glasses
I have done many fun glasses that are very colorful and party like with just polka dots all over them. I have even done ones with different colored squiggly lines. Very simple and most anyone can do them.
For those of you who are not able to paint freehand, you might consider taping your picture on the inside of the glass and paint from there. You could even buy transfer carbon and trace the picture you want to paint on to the glass before proceeding. Either way would be easy for you to complete your design work.
Do not be afraid to jump in and give it a try. You will feel a sense of accomplishment and might be surprised how nicely your glasses will turn out. You will be able to give your friends and family a personalized gift from your heart. Now go paint!!

How to Bake Glassware
Baking Your Own Hand Painted Glasses
You might have the same questions also, but were too afraid to ask. Well, first of all do not be afraid to ask. I know I sure have asked my share of questions of other artists, even though I have been painting for years. Most of which have been more than willing to share information as well as giving out pointers. I know I am more than willing to help others with their questions.
My first suggestion when beginning to paint on glass is to follow the instructions on the paint you are using. I highly recommend if it suggests allowing the piece to dry for a certain amount of time, to make sure you follow this carefully. It could make a difference in how your piece turns out.
The most important thing to remember when you want to bake glassware, is to place it in your oven when it is cold. Begin your pre-heating process after it has been placed in the oven. When the baking process has completed, allow your pieces to cool down completely before removing them from the oven. Sudden change in temperature is what causes the glass to break. If you follow these directions, you should be fine.
When in doubt, always ask!!

Socialize With Your Friends
Gather Your Friends to Paint Glasses for Your Group
It would even be fun to gather your club friends and paint your own glasses. They are easy enough to do. This would be a great way to socialize while doing a craft or work of art. Depends on how you look at it!
The glasses can be found cheaply at local department stores or home good stores. You really do not need that many supplies. A little rubbing alcohol to clean off the glass prior to painting, a small selection of acrylic enamel paints, a few brushes and water bins, maybe even a few paper towels and you will be ready to go.
After you have completed your glasses you may either take them home and bake them to cure the paint, or allow them to air dry and the paint will be cured in 21 days. You can still use them, just hand wash and handle with care. It's really quit simple as you can see.

Painted Wine Glasses
How to Paint Wine Glasses
Choose whatever type of glass you would like to paint. The wine glass seems to be the most popular, but base it on what type of drinks you and your guest will like to drink. I would recommend finding cheap glassware to start off with. You can progress to the pricer versions when you gain more experience. If you make a mistake, remember it washes off and you may start all over again!
The first thing you need to do is wash your glass and swab it off with rubbing alcohol. Try to avoid touching it at this point, as much as is possible while you are painting it. It is a great idea to have the design in mind prior to starting. If you are not a freehand painter, you may use carbon paper or similar products available at your local craft store, to transfer the design to the glass.
Once you complete the painting of your glass, you should allow the piece to air dry for at least 1 hour prior to baking it. Please refer to the instructions on your paint to confirm the proper timeframe. There are some paints that require 24 hours of drying time prior to baking. It is important to follow these instructions. Bubbling of the paint may take place if baked before
the paint has cured the proper length of time. You do not want your piece to be ruined after you have worked so hard on your project.
Always place your glass pieces in to a cold oven and then begin to preheat it. Once your pieces are finished baking, allow them to cool down completely prior to removing from the oven. These steps are very important to avoid breakage.
Typically, you will either be required to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake the glassware for 1/2 and hour, or 300 degrees and bake it for 35 minutes. Each type of paint varies and it is important to read the instructions prior to baking your pieces.
Once you have completed these steps you may begin to use your glasses. They are dishwasher safe if placed on the top rack of the dishwasher. It is recommended that they be washed by hand to preserve their design. That is up to you!

Chosing Your Favorite Cocktail Glasses
Martini Party Glasses
You may have a little or a lot added to your glasses. They are nice either way. You might consider having them all painted with the same design, or go the extra step and have a different themed glass for each person. This will eliminate the need for the charms to know which glass belongs to whom.
These glasses make nice gifts. There are many occasions where they would be appropriate to receive as a gift. Occasions to consider are weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, showers, graduations, or just as a treat for yourself.
You are not limited to the Martini Glass, as the same can be done to wine, champagne, pilsner, margarita, or even iced-tea glasses. Consider what your favorite drink is, or if you know your guests like different beverages, have different types of glasses painted to fit each person. What's your pleasure?

Painted Terracotta Pots
Wonderful Wedding and Party Favors
The hand painted terracotta pots may be used in a few different ways. They can hold candy and nuts either directly in the pot or wrapped in netting with a nice bow. The inside of each pot has been left unpainted, making these safe for food. They also make a neat candle holder that can be placed on the tables at the reception. You could even have a larger pot painted to match for each centerpiece on your tables. Acrylic enamel paint is used to paint each pot. It is a non-toxic paint. The pots are baked to cure the paint.
Custom ordered items allow you the flexibility of having the choice of your design and colors. You are not limited to certain patterns. This allows you to coordinate these pieces to go with the theme of your event and other items you already have.
Your guests will just love their favors you have given them to take home. They will be small pieces of art which can be left out, adding to their home decor, instead of being stuck in a drawer. They will be around for years to come, keeping fresh the memories of your special day.

Hand Painted Plastic Disposable Plates
Painted Disposable Dessert and Dinner Plates are Great for Weddings and Events
They are classy enough to have at a special occasion such as a wedding reception, eliminating the need for the heavy glassware. You may also have other pieces hand painted to coordinate with the plates, such as wine or toasting glasses, water glasses, and even the centerpieces on each table. If you want to go a step further, the tablecloths and napkins can be painted too!
These plates are very affordable. They may be painted in the colors and theme to match what you have chosen for your special day. Other events such as graduations, birthday parties, baptisms, and anniversary parties would be great times to use these as well. It does not matter if you are planning your own gathering, are a wedding planner, or event planner, there would something here to match the needs of your clients. If you prefer glass, the same technique can be done on clear glass plates.
The paint used is non-toxic, acrylic enamel paint. The paint cures in two ways, either by being baked in the oven or air dried for 21 days. It is not necessary to wait 21 days before using the plates, however they may be hand washed and used again. You might be surprised how tempted you will be to save them instead of throwing them away!

Fun Wine Glasses
Crazy Characters Painted on Wine Glasses
The Cool Duck and Penguin are crazy characters that will create a light and airy atmosphere at your next party or event. They are not the normal flower and vine design you often see. This is more for the casual gathering. They can even be considered conversation pieces. Your guests will be fighting over which handsome character they would like to use.
Hand painted dinner plates and dessert plates may be painted to go along with these crazy glasses, making it an entire dining set. If you prefer disposable plates, this can be done as well. Just throw them away when the guests are done. This makes for easy clean up in the end.
These pieces are affordable and make nice gift ideas too. What a nice birthday or Christmas gift. You will be assured to not be giving them something they already have.

Wine Glasses are Perfect Entertaining Glasses
Versatile Wine Glasses
Wine glasses are easy to paint on and look beautiful whether you are painting just on one side, all around the glass, or even painting a flower that starts from the base of the glass and come clear up the sides. When you look inside your glass it mimics the inside of the flower. This is the part the artist can get real creative and add so much interest to the piece. Not only is the inside unique, but the outside is pretty too.
Do not forget those pet lovers out there. They deserve special attention too! Just imagine the face of their cat or dog being painted on a wine glass. They can relax and enjoy their favorite beverage while admiring their best friend. Life is all good!

Personalized Hand Painted Martini Glasses
Martini Glasses Make Great Party Glasses
They are very easy to paint whether you are doing small paintings over the entire glass, or do a painted flower that covers the glass from the base to the top. Painted flowers blooms look really neat from the inside of a personalized custom painted martini glass.
The choice is yours. Do you want a daisy or a rose painted on your glass? What is your favorite flower? What flowers will the bride be holding while she walks down the aisle? These are a few questions that could be asked while trying to decide on a design. They are very versatile and will look nice no matter what design will be chosen.
You can even have clear glass dinner and dessert plates hand painted to match. If you are wanting disposable plates, the clear plastic ones paint of nicely too. This will create a beautiful scene for your table and your guests will love the special touch you have added to the party.
This is a cheap way to get a great response from your guest, make a classy looking party, and still maintain your budget. The sky is the limit when you are dealing with decorative painting. Just about anything can be painted as long as it stands still long enough!

Personalized Custom Painted Family Tree Platters
Family Tree Platters
This plate is custom painted with your family information or the family information of the person who will be receiving it. The platter can either be hung on the wall or placed in a stand to be sat somewhere for everyone to see. It would look nice on a shelf, mantel, or even a cabinet.
This platter is for decorative use only and should be hand washed when cleaned to preserve the design. It is not meant for serving food as it is not food safe. A platter can be painted that is safe to serve food on, as long as no sharp objects are used on the painted design.
The Family Tree Platters also make great gift giving ideas for the upcoming holidays or even birthdays. Some people are hard to buy for and this would be something unique. It is also a great keepsake piece that can be passed on to other family members as time goes on.

Glass or Plastic Hand Painted Plates for Your Next Event!
Hand Painted Plates for Your Next Event
These pretty little plates really do make the average clear plate look lovely. It really does make a different in the presentation of your dinner table or buffet. They are hand painted on the reverse side, which makes them food safe. The glass plates are baked to set the paint. The plastic plates paint will cure within 21 days, but is durable enough to use before that time and be perfectly fine.
The paint used is acrylic enamel paint. It is non-toxic and dishwasher safe if placed on the top rack. It is however recommended they be washed by hand to preserve the design.
The plastic plates are reuseable if you desire. If not, you'll have to convence your guests to throw them out. Some may even want to keep them for themselves to use at their next gathering! I have actually had this happen to me!!!!
Just this little addition can make you stand out from the crowd. Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss your options.

Themed Glassware Can Make a Wonderful Gift Idea
Do you need a special gift idea?
I also had the liberty of painting 10 Martini Glasses for a bride to be. She contacted me with a list of all the different interests each person in her bridal had. I had the free reign of coming up with the design. What a great time. Each glass was designed with that person in mind. They didn't get the same thing and it was a unique gift that couldn't be picked up at any department store.
There is no limit to the designs that you could find on a wine glass, martini glass, margarita glass, Pilsner glass, or just a regular drinking glass. Do you have a need for such a special item?

Hand Painted Margarita Sets Make Lovely Wedding or Birthday Gifts
Margaritas Anyone?
At last weeks shower I gave her the wedding signature platter. This week at her next shower I am giving her a hand painted 9 piece Margarita Set. This set is brightly painted with polka dots in multi-colors. The dots are different sizes even down to the dots on the base. This set will be wonderful for entertaining guests when they come over for a visit. Even the salt/sugar plate is painted on the reverse side to added color.
The paint used is acrylic enamel paint. It is non-toxic. The pieces have all been baked to set the paint. The bottom side of the plate has been sealed with varnish to added protection to the paint as it is being used.
These pieces are dishwasher safe if placed on the top rack. I do however recommend hand washing to preserve the design. They are durable and should provide the bride and groom with years of use.

Party Martini Glasses for a Bridal Party
Custom Painted Martini Glasses
This was different from most of my projects. I typically do a lot of floral designs. On these glasses the themes went from Asian Signs to Lady Bugs! I had so much fun researching ideas and coming of with items to paint for each girl.
They haven't received the glasses yet and I am excited to get the response back on how they liked them. I will share a picture of one of them today. Eventually, you will be able to view them on my website and my Etsy Shop.
I really enjoy custom orders and challenging my artistic ability. I am always willing and open to trying new ideas. Custom orders are the best!

Busy Filling Wholesale and Bridal Favor Orders
Busy Weeks
I love for you to get a chance to see what is new in my shop. I still need to post some of the items from my Etsy Shop to my regular website. I often lag between the two.
I am working hard to produce some new items to my shop in the way of plates and signature plates. I am currently working on two platters. One is a keepsake for an upcoming marriage. The other one is a re-make of a platter made for this lovely couple's 25th anniversary. The first platter received was accidentially broken. The husband was one made so that he can give it to his wife on the anniversay this upcoming November. What a wonderful thought.
Keep your eyes open to see what is going to be added to my shop soon!

Beaded and Wire Serving Platters and Serving Spoon
Serving Platter and Serving Spoon Beaded and Wired for Special Occasions
When you begin to plan for a wedding reception, special event, or even a dinner party what do you consider? Of course one of the first areas you focus on is the menu. What type of food are you going to serve? Will it be fingers foods, desserts only, or a full course meal?
Once you have made the decision on the menu, the next area you focus on are the plates, napkins, silverware, servings plates and platters, serving utensils, and glassware you will be using at the event. It is important to impress your guests and make the event a memorable one. Invision all of these items matching or coordinating with each other. You do not want your serving ware to be something that you picked up at the store or something everyone else has.
A great way to ensure this does not happen is to have your items customed beaded and painted for you. You have the freedom to select the colors and designs of your choice. You will not have to spend a fortune to do this either. It is very affordable for most.
Your party will be the talk for a long time. It will make you feel good knowing that you put on such a wonderful party, one that will make you the envy of your family and friends!
Special Birthdays
Do You Have a July or August Birthday to Celebrate?
A wonderful way to celebtrate is to have something made especially for them. It should be something they can use or see often that will bring loving thoughts of you throughout the year. It could even be something they could continue to collect with each passing year.
You might consider having an item hand painted and even personalized with their name on it. One suggestion would be hand paint specialty cups. I just so happen to have a recent design to share with you. This can be painted on any type of glass or cup even. It is affordable and something that can either be used or incorporated into their decor.
Custom orders are welcome. I do paint flowers for each month. If there is something you would rather have please contact me. It does not have to be a flower either. I am open to your ideas.
