How to cover a drab concrete patio

Ranked #1,489 in Education, #35,527 overall

Quick and easy way to remodel your old concrete patio

There really is a quick and easy way to cover up drab grey concrete even if it suffers from some cracking. And you don't have to go to the trouble and expense of bringing in heavy demolition equipment such as jackhammers or removing all the old concrete.

The simplest way is just to cover the lot with interlocking decking tiles. These tiles are incredibly easy to install. You simply place them in position and snap them together. You don't need any nails, screws or other fixing devices, as they simply "float" on top of the existing surface, but they remain securely locked together by the inbuilt connecting tabs.

They'll cope with all weather conditions so you can confidently use them in any outdoor situation such as patios, backyard decks, balconies, rooftop decks around hot tubs etc.

At HandyDeck (www.handydeck.com) you can get these tiles in a wide range of materials and styles - wood, porcelain, granite or slate all with the same easy to install interlocking system.

I like DIY projects that are quick and easy...but give great results. Here I am installing some decking tiles on an entrance to an apartment
