Hanging Bird Toys
Parrots love to play and as the proud owner of a Cockatoo named Maggie, I have found that it is my job to keep her entertained. One of the best ways that I have found to do this is to place some hanging bird toys on her perch and in her cage.
The hardest part about my job is finding a place that has the right Bird Supplies.
These hanging bird toys are not only fun for our Cockatoo to play with, they also keep her happy.
She loves it when we hang a new bird toy from her perch. I sometimes think that she chews them up so fast, just so we have to replace it.
There is a trick to finding the right bird toy for your bird. Too small or soft and they rip through them too fast. Too large or hard and they leave it alone or loose interest in it.
That is an easy fix though. If your bird is ripping through the hanging bird toys you give them in less than a week or so, you need to get them larger, tougher toys. If you find that the big bird toy your bird has tends to hang there for extended periods of time, it may be too large or difficult for them to play with. Down size it and try to find them a toy that they can dig into.

Bird Toys
Hanging bird toys are the most common and popular type of toy for birds.
My Cockatoo likes the homemade style bird toys. You know the ones, they are made of rope, leather, wooden blocks, small chimes and have little nick nacks hanging from them.
At first I thought these cheap looking woodbird toys would be a waste of money, but she loves them.
Come to find out, parrot toys do not need to be fancy. They just need to be fun.
Take a look at this Nut and Bolt Factory Parrot Toy for Cockatoos and Macaws. It looks like a learning toy for a two year old. But if you know anything about parrots, you know that these birds are a lot like having a two year old. So this bird toy should do the job perfectly.
Many parrots are little drama queens. They love attention. Just like a two year old.
So keep those little beaks busy with this Brainy Bird Wild Series Toy. The bright, non-toxic wooden blocks are sure to attract any birds curiosity.

These parrot/bird toys are for sale and are very easy to hang in any cage or off the end of your parrots perch.
