What are my short and longterm goals for this blog?
Short Term Goals
I'm still trying to sort my intent with this blog. My original intention was to give it minimal attention and basically use it as a way to keep me accountable. For instance, when I publish my goals and such, the possibility that I will do them would be much higher that if I did not. The reason for this is because I would not want to look bad in front of other people regardless of how many readers I had or if they really know me or not.
I have been posting on my blog for 3 months now (as of 8/19/08). I have been consistently posting which is a source of pride for me. I am very interested in many things. While this may seem like a good thing at face value, it can be some what of a curse. I'm interested in many things and therefore easily destracted. I'm good at starting projects, but finishing projects is not a strong suit of mine as much as I don't like admitting that. As far as the blog is concerned, I stated that it started out as a tool for me. Well, at this point in time, I've actually began to enjoy writing for my blog. I once saw it as a task and now I look forward to it and find coming up with potential blog posts easier and easier.
Long Term Goals
Obviously if my short term goals are a bit fuzzy, my long term goals are going to be even less clear. There are two major things I'd like to get from my blog. 1. I'd like to continue to use my blog as an accountability tool. 2. I hope the more I write, the better writer I'll become and hopefully be able to put together a book at some point in the distant future.

Recent Successes
8/1/08 - I don't remember the exact date, but I was mentioned in a smaller newspaper (Chicago Sun Times)which I was pretty excited about.
9/1/08 - I registered a non-zero number in google ad sense. I'm not looking for this blog to make a ton of money, but a measure of success can be assumed from that number. I think I'm up to a whopping $3.75 as of 9/9/08. From what I've read and seen, google ad sense is not a bread and butter income stream for most people.
9/2/08 - I received a request for an ad through performance ads. I received a whopping $1.50 for a week, but since then I've received a renewal for $12.00.
