Character Training With Food

This is what I called an open faced sandwich that I made for my children when they were young. One of the things I attempted to teach my girls was contentment, and happy heart bread was one of the tools. Its so easy that children can make it and the possibilities are endless. (Well, maybe not endless, but a lot anyway.

So What Do You Think About Happy Heart Bread

Is is OK to make mealtime fun or should it be a time for training manners and always sober.

Loading

Yes, its important to teach mannes at the table, but its OK to have a little fun now and then.

I really like this! I certainly want it int eh Rocketmoms bread lesn. Thanks!

happynutritionist says:

What a wonderful way to teach your children contentment and happiness...manners are nice too...but think they would enjoy learning them more if happy:-) Love the smiling jelly bread.

mutter says:

Yes! I think mealtimes should be something to look forward to in every way!

Heather426 says:

life outside can be rough, life inside the house should be fun!

No, mealtime is a serious matter for learning manners and obtaining fuel for the body, not a time for fun and games.

Face Toppings

The first time I made this I think I used raisins to make the face. Sometimes I used coconut for hair. Beware of chocolate chips, after I used them that's all they ever wanted. Other things that would work are banana slices, thin slices of apple would make a great mouth. How about dried & sweetened cranberries or perhaps sunflower seeds. If you wanted to use veggies, you could use a cream cheese spread. As you can see the possibilities or plentiful.
