If you don't want your cat to sit home all day twiddling his paws, consider cat boarding as an option.. A cat boarding facility is a great place to take your cat while the pest control or cleaning person pays a visit. If you have your home listed with a realtor, it may be a good idea for your cat to be boarded. Another reason for cat boarding may be you have a remodeling going on. You don't want to take a chance of your kitty getting scared and fleeing through an open door.

Some people are a little hesitant when they think of boarding their cat. Most cats adapt relatively quickly to boarding. The best way to ease them into boarding is to bring a blanket (with their smells on it) and some of their toys. Maybe they have their favorite bed. It can accompany them too.
Bring some of their favorite foods and treats and this makes the adjustment quicker. Usually older cats take a little longer to adapt, young kitties adapt quickly.
Some cat boarding facilities are now featuring condos. These condos are spacious, have different levels they can climb on and some even feature a separate screened in area to access the out doors.
