Priceless!
5 Tips To Ease Your Fears
Okay guys, I understand that although this is a very exciting time. You may also have some concerns. Let me ease your mind, by offering you a few tips to help you deal with them.Through my research, and personal experience I have found these to be the most common fears.
Security;
Financial worries can weaken the strongest man. Welcoming the new arrival, has many challenges. Perhaps you have went from two incomes down to one. Hopefully you have made the proper financial adjustments. If not, you will survive this time, and be back on your feet soon.
An idea that may help. If you're worried about the financial hit you might take when it comes to setting up the nursery, start putting money aside as early on in your pregnancy as possible. Have your bank transfer $20 per week into a separate savings account, and you'll have a nice nest egg of $800 to fall back on when it comes time to start shopping for baby.
Labor Room;
Can you handle the pressure in the labor room? Will you get sick, pass out? Let me tell you this, if that happens. Remember you aren't the first. Oh, and should she tell you to get the bleep out! Don't, be committed to stay from the beginning to the end.
The Health of Your Spouse, Your Child;
The advancements that have been made since I have had my children are amazing.
Fifteen years ago, women didn't show up on their doctors' doorsteps until they had missed their second period and were 99% sure they were pregnant. Today, most doctors recommend that their patients come in for a checkup before they start trying to conceive.
The reason for the change in thinking is obvious. Recent studies about the benefits of preconception health have served to hammer home an important message: It's not enough to quit smoking, improve your eating habits, and start popping prenatal vitamins the moment the pregnancy test comes back positive. To give your baby the best possible start in life, you need to ensure that you are in the best possible health before you start trying to conceive. Extensive testing is done early on, to ensure healthy Mothers and babies. Don't worry!
Relationship;
The Fear You'll Feel Left Out?
Within days of your baby's birth, you'll be well aware of the mother-child bond. You may even think your relationship with your wife is taking a back seat to the baby.
It may. But, it won't always be that way. Your marriage will actually become stronger. Trust me. You and your wife are co-captains on a team with common goals, and talking about them will make for some excellent, cherished late-night chats. Plus, after weeks of attending to a newborn, your wife will look to you for adult company.
Mortality;
This is very common with a new birth. When you're a part of the beginning of a life, you can't avoid thinking about the end of life. Thoughts about your own mortality can loom large. That fear, "will I be there for my child?" Or, "what if something happens to me?" Let me close with this. You will be there, and you will be fine.
Holding The New arrival
Pick Up and Holding Baby
Chances are you've never held a newborn before your own first baby. Holding her may seem intimidating at first, though it becomes easier as you get the hang of it and as your baby grows and develops muscle tone. Newborns are floppy creatures whose neck muscles aren't strong yet, and they squirm. If you have trouble finding a comfortable way to hold your newborn at first, and it seems like your baby's crying a lot of (it's an adjustment for her, too), don't worry. In time she'll fit into your arms as if she was meant to be there. Human infants, like other mammals, need to be touched and held in order not only to be comforted but to insure proper brain development.

How to bottle feed a baby
Feeding the baby Cuddles and comfort are as important for you baby as feeding is. Don't let anyone tell you that your bottle-fed baby won't bond with you. There is no reason why bottle -feeding can't be a warm and loving experience. If it's summer you can let your baby feel your bare skin. Make sure that you are comfortable. Feeding your baby in an awkward position will only compound the aches and pains most new mothers feel. Never feed your baby while he or she is lying down. The milk can go up the tiny tubes and into baby's ears causing ear infections. Cradling your baby in your arms is the easiest position. Don't prop the bottle and leave a young baby to feed itself; it is dangerous. To protect your clothes and your baby's clothes, remember to put a bib on the baby. Younger babies need to be burped two or three times during each feed. They find it hard to burp naturally on their own. If your baby is crying, screaming and squirming during a feed he or she probably needs to be winded. Sit your baby up (making sure to support the head if he or she is a newborn.) Rub baby's back gently in round circular movements until he burps. This may take a while. Wind usually becomes less of a problem as a baby gets older. When your baby has finished his bottle tip any left over milk out. Bacteria from your baby's mouth can be introduced into the milk and multiply quickly. If your baby is a newborn (under 3 months) tip the milk out within twenty minutes after the feed.
