Masaki Sumitani is the Hard Gay!
Hard Gay is not in fact homosexual, but rather an ordinary comedian portraying a funny character. Masaki Sumitani visited a lot of gay bars in Doyama-cho, Osaka's biggest gay area, to develop his Hard Gay personality. He usually dresses in a tight black leather outfit and never takes off his leather hat and sunglasses during the show. There were some negative reactions from homosexuals because HG uses his "gayness" to make people laugh.
Acting isn't the only thing that Masaki Sumitani does. He has finished the Doshisha University with a major in Commerce. He also is a professional wrestler, although he announced his retirement from the sport in 2006. But, let's talk about his Hard Gay character now!

Hard Gay's Signature Moves
- Hard Gay usually starts the show by shouting "Hello, this is Hard Gay!" and spinning around, often adding "Hoooo!" or "Ufoooo!".
- Hard Gay's classic "dance" move is his trademark pelvic thrusts, and he does them all the time during the show. This seems to unnerve some people when he does it while talking to them, I wonder why!
- If you make Hard Gay unhappy, he will put his palm in front of your face and shout "sei sei sei!", although no one is sure what that really means.
- Hard Gay keeps all kinds of stuff inside his hot pants, including a mobile phone, a leather "Hard Gay mask" and more.
- Hard Gay's famous dance moves are often accompanied by Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" song.

OMG! This guy might be just a tad bit over the top for this straight-laced older woman. Props for the Livin' la vida loca music as that was good background music for that video. Maybe find some more YouTubes to add if there are any.
