Harmonic Movement: Stretching plus Energy: My Unique and Powerful Workout
In the late 90s, I began teaching small classes. I decided to share my own stretching with energy routine, which I called Harmonic Movement. People loved it and began reporting amazing results, including decrease in migraines, improvement in eye sight and eye problems such as macular degeneration, relief of back pain, greater hand mobility, emotional stability, improvement in hypertension and freedom from physical discomfort and pain.
Now in it's next reincarnation, I am offering it as a free eBook. Let me repeat that. This amazing routine is...FREE. All I ask, is that you share your stories of success with Harmonic Movement in the comments below.
In this lens I share 5 reasons why Harmonic Movement is so effective and more information about the different modalities that are incorporated into it. And of course, I share where you can get it!

Harmonic Movement Is Amazing Because...
It is simple and gentle to do.
Simple and Gentle Stretching Exercises
If it doesn't take any effort, can it be profound?

Some people have a hard time believing these exercises can be as profound for your health as I claim. "They seem too simple and are too gentle to be effective," the practitioners state.
Although each one is easy, it's the combination of all of them that makes them so powerfully profound. They are designed to align the body from head to toe and this helps prevent common injuries when you are working out.
Hips are aligned to each other and to gravity, the spine is stretched and straightened, joints are gently opened and muscles get "lubricated" or hydrated throughout this routine.
Prepare to feel good in your body!

Is Stretching An Important Part Of Fitness?
Stretching isn't really sexy. Lifting weights and "turbo" work outs are. But if muscles are only contracted, without stretching them out, then they can not truly achieve optimal health. When muscles contract and stay that way, they become oxygen starved and are unable to release their toxins. The remedy is that for all vigorous workouts that you do, you should do equal amounts of stretching.
Do you include stretching in your workouts?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byNo. It's so boring and I don't have enough time.
HenryE says:
I did but we learned in my exercise physiology class that it does not actually reduce injuries, so I stopped. After this helpful information I should start again!

Oh no! I haven't and do you know -- I have a torn Achilles tendon -- have had a torn labrum and a torn meniscus. So, I'd say that even though stretching is boring, I should be doing it!!! That's what hubby kindly reminds me all the time.

yes, as we age, it becomes more difficult to stay flexible, so it's necessary to stretch out at all times to avoid injuries.

Yes, I do something called Katsugen, movement meditation. It's not a routine but the more you know, the more comes out throughout the day as something you and your body need. You find yourself moving in ways you need and enjoy. I get bored by routines and as a dancer learned how important it is to relax the muscles that get contracted (and used).

Harmonic Movement Is Amazing Because...
It works accumulatively.
These Exercises Do More, The More You Do

Whether it's the energy that is part of the exercises, or the repetition of the routine, my students know that after about 5 days they are going to experience a HUGE difference in their vital well-being. It's hard to imagine it, but 5 times seems to be the lucky number.
It doesn't have to be five consecutive days either. You can do 5 sets in 2 weeks and still get that amazing leap of well-being.

Harmonic Movement Is Amazing Because...
It releases restrictions, constrictions and problems created by scar tissue.
Scar Tissue Distorts Structural Alignment

I am a virtual roadmap of scars. From cesareans to horse accidents with barbed wire, to car accidents, and Oh! my favorite...sitting on a broken glass Coke bottle, I have an abundance of scarring.
So I know how scar tissue can pull and distort the structural alignment of the body. It also impedes the flow of energy through the meridians and other energy channels.
These exercises break up the restrictions created by scars and help them become fluid and less bulky.

Harmonic Movement Is Amazing Because...
It is so healthy for the Central Nervous System.
Creating A Healthy Central Nervous System

Many factors determine a healthy CNS, including a good flow of craniosacral fluid from the sacrum to the cranium, balancing of right and left brain hemispheres, balancing of sympathetic and parasympathetic systems and release of cranium and connective restrictions on the brain.
This in turns improves the endocrine system, our mental abilities, balance and agility and the enhancement of all of the organs and system of our body.

Harmonic Movement Is Amazing Because...
It balances the majority of the energy flows throughout the body.
Balancing Energy Flows in Harmonic Movement

Meridians, grounding cord, hara line (the emotional grounding cord), the Aryuvedic doshas, chakras and other energy channels that run through the body also need clearing, healing and balancing and stabilizing. This helps eliminate pain and supports the health of the organ system, the emotional body, mental clarity and much more.
Adding this part to these classic exercises is what makes this such a powerhouse. And it's simple!
I've added two mp3 files on my blog for the two positions that include the most energy work: The Polarity Squat and balancing the Chakras at the end. The link for those files is further down in the lens.

- Awesome lens, definitely 5 stars for this lens. Oh by the way just to add on your very informative post: EFT is a method of energy healing that is swiftly applied, direct, versatile and readily measurable. For all these reasons, I would recommend the method for anyone interested in healing work.
I was actually exposed to the method before I even knew what it was. While I was in a group having EFT training to absorb information faster I was taught a technique to release and eliminate the over-critical thoughts and behavior we engage in when trying to learn something new. This made the learning process itself a lot more fun, and naturally that sped up my comprehension.
Much later, I was exploring different ways of dealing with emotional pain and inner resistance. I'd mapped out a few different things to try and one was, you might have guessed, the same method from before. Only then had I discovered the name.
