Harrison Ford was a struggling actor who had turned to carpentry to feed his family when he got the chance to audition for the role of Bob Falfa in the George Lucas movie AMERICAN GRAFFITI.  After that he worked with Lucas on STAR WARS and a movie career was born. 

With two adult sons from his first marriage and teen children (one son, one daughter) from his second marriage, Ford is the constant subject of rumors regarding a wedding to long-time girlfriend Calista Flockhart.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL did gangbusters at the box office, but also had die-hard fans claiming that really, it sucked. Which is sort of did.

Now there are rumors that a fifth Indiana Jones movie might be in the works. Do you think Lucas, Spielberg and Ford can redeem themselves after the last movie, or is this just some sort of desperate money grab?

Recommended Harrison Ford Movies

Here are some of my favorite Harrison Ford movies. The very first movie I ever saw with him was "American Graffiti." My mom grew up in the same town as George Lucas and took my sister and I to see it, telling us that everything in the movie really was exactly like how she grew up.

Then "Star Wars" came out and I spent most of puberty having a huge crush on Harrison Ford. Ditto for the Indiana Jones movies.

"Witness" is an excellent drama, and if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll get to see a very young Viggo Mortensen help Harrison Ford build a barn!

Although "Bladerunner" didn't do well when it was first released, it has gone on to become one of the most influential and audience-acclaimed science fiction movies of all time.
