Planning Your Harry Potter Themed Halloween Party
Write a List!
The first thing that needs to be done in planning your Harry Potter Partyis to decide what type of decor you want to go with. A few ideas would be to turn your party room in Hogwarts classrooms. You could section areas of the room off into separate "classroom".For example, you could set up Professor Snape's Classroom of Potions in one area to look like an old apothecary's workshop for your guest to mix their own potions, while in another spot you could set up a round card table, cover it with some black Halloween lace or some gypsy scarfs, add a crystal ball, a deck of Tarot cards and a bag of Runes for a little fortunetelling in Professor Trelawney's Divination classroom.
Turn part of the buffet table into Professor Sprout's Herbology Classroom by using a separate smaller table loaded with your platters of veggies, fruit, and cheese platters. Add live or artificial plants and flowers to make it look exciting and appealing. Use a pot of herbs, jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins and colorful autumn gourds as the "herbal" center piece of the table.
Another idea might be to turn your party room into Hogwarts Great Dining Hall for a sit down dinner. Get ideas for decorating from the common room at Hogwart's for a more casual nature costumed get-together of appetizers and cocktails, or take ideas from the bar atmosphere of the Leaky Cauldron at Diagon's Alley.
Be sure to set up a table and chair close to the front door for the sorting hat. As each guest comes into the house they can be seated in the chair for the sorting ritual. Sort your guest into the 4 houses of Hogwart's . These will become the team players for games at the party.
Create games of magic to play; games that relate to magic, magical creatures and wizardry. For example. Have each team take turns making potions at the apothecary section of the house (the bar) that you have set up for Professor Snapes "Classroom of Potions". Hint: They could create cocktail mixes with Wicked Wiccan names and the best cocktail would win a prize and the best name for the cocktail would also win a prize as well.
Have a race for the fastest flying broom (You did tell them to bring their brooms on the invitation didn't you?). Play a few games of Quidditch or go through a Quidditch obstcle course. Plan a treasure hunt or a scavenger hunt. Set up an area where anyone that didn't bring a magic wand can make one. The whole team can participate and win prizes for the best wand, the funniest wand, etc.
Let your imagination run wild while you write down your plans for your Harry Potter Halloween Costume Party.

Harry Potter Invitations to a Magical Party
Deciding on Harry Potter Invitations
The next thing that needs to be done in the planning for any party is to decide on the type of invitations you would like to send out to your guest. The things you need to consider are who will be attending the party. Will it be a children's only Harry Potter Halloween Party, an Adult Harry Potter Theme Party or a Halloween costume party that will include both children and adults. Choose your invitations appropriate to the ages of your party guest.

Of course the easiest and fasted way to get the invitations out is to buy and mail them.....but it is not the most creative or fun.

Homemade Harry Potter Invitations
It doesn't matter if the invitations are to be sent out to adults or kids; homemade Harry Potter invitations are a simple thing to make that the whole family can participate in. This example of the Owl Invitation was handmade and is being sold on Etsy. If you are interested, she also makes apothacary labels and purple sealing wax, however, you can make your own invitations at home too. Here are several ideas that you might want to try.1. Buy card stock, or parchment paper online or at a paper supply store, with matching envelops.
2. Buy a rubber stamp at a scrapbook store. If you can't find the stamp you want, (check craft stores and scrapbooking stores) you can have one custom made at a printing shop for between $7 to $20, depending on how elaborate you want it made. Often the printing shop will already have designs for you to choose from, but they can also make stamps from your own design.

3. You can buy calligraphy pens to hand print your invitations. Or have a printer print up your invitations from your design. They can also help you design an invitation, or you can always make them yourself on your computer!
4. Have one of the kids hand print the invitations addresses on the envelopes or create labels on your computer and have the kids put the labels on the invitations you have made. Bulk mail houses will also furnish envelopes and mail them if you have a very large mailing list of invitations for a huge party.
5. If you didn't buy envelopes when you bought your paper, you can make homemade envelopes from the same paper to match the invitations.
Invitation Idea for the Teen Harry Potter Halloween Party

Create your invitations by hand printing on parchment paper in a calligraphy style using sepia brown ink or black ink. You need to buy calligraphy pens to do this. On one side of the paper write the title "Marauder's Map" and draw out a map of the directions to the Halloween party, as if it was a Harry Potter's Marauder Map
If you don't know how to print in calligraphy, you could use a calligraphy font or a Harry Potter font on your computer to print your title on the parchment paper and then draw the rest. Download all the fonts you will need here for free:
Free Harry Potter Fonts
Even if you print your magical invitations on the computer, buy the sepia brown ink to draw your Marauder's Map.
On the other side of the parchment paper should be all of the invitation information inviting your guests to a Magical Halloween Party. This could all be created on a Word Doc and then printed onto your parchment paper. It would be a lot quicker this way, but if you want to really make it fun for a kids party, write everything in invisible ink and just write the instructions for decoding. Roll your invitations up when they are finished and seal with sealing wax, or tie with a ribbon. If you can't send your invitations by owl, hand deliver them. Want to really make it fun? Deliver your rolled up parchment invitations as a Message in a Bottle
If there are too many invitations to deliver, you may want to make parchment envelopes and snail mail them instead.

Floating Candles Add to the Ghostly Atmosphere
From Amongst the Oaks
Laura from the Amongst the Oaks blog had this fabulous idea for the Harry Potter Halloween Party she threw last year. I absolutely love this.
To recreate this same illusion that Laura created you will need to buy about a dozen (however many you want floating) of the battery operated candles you see in peoples windows at Christmas. You want to buy the kind that can be put into a candle holder. Not the kind that are attached to a candle holder base. They usually come with a switch that can be turned on and run for about 5 hours. According to Laura, "the batteries last for months so even in the cold, dark days of January they still come on to cheer your evenings". Click here to buy Old Fashion Looking LED Tapers. Laura took the candles, tied thread around the bulbs (I think a really fine fishing line or nylon thread would be good) and hung them from the her dining room ceiling with clear pushpins. As you can see, the effect is quite ghostly!

Butterbeer

- Serves: Makes 2 quarts
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 8 min minutes
This Butterbeer recipe is courtesy of Sandra Lee. I changed it a wee bit as hers was too sweet. Chill your mugs by sticking them in the freezer for at least 1/2 hour before making the Butterbeer.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup Buttershots schnapps
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla cream soda
Instructions
1. Combine condensed milk and butter in a glass heatproof measuring cup. Heat in microwave for 1 minute. Remove, stir until butter has melted and incorporated into mixture; stir in butterscotch schnapps. Meanwhile heat cream soda in another heatproof measuring cup for 1 minute 30 seconds.
Divide butterscotch mixture between 2 (10 to 12-ounce) mugs. Fill mugs with heated cream soda and stir thoroughly. Serve garnished with an old-fashioned butterscotch candy stick.
Note: You can buy butterscotch flavoring in the baking section of your grocery store, but the flavoring is 35% alcohol where the schnapps is only 15% alcohol by volume, so if you're making large quantities of butterbeer, just buy the schnapps. There is not that much alcohol content in the butterbeer mixture, just enough to make a house-elf tipsy and to give it the warm, buttery aftertaste to the fizzy cream soda. Yum!
How to Make Butterbeer
I found this video and really like her way of making the butterbeer the best. My different spin on it would be to use some apple cider with the brown sugar instead of water for the caramelization process. I am in total agreement that the cream soda is adding way too much sugar to the mix and like her idea, however, I would use the butterscotch schnapps instead of the bourbon. Of course, it is all according to taste. Spiced rum would be an excellent alternative too! Try several different ways and see which one you like the best.

Pumpkin Juice

- Serves: 2
- Prep Time: 2 to 3 hours
- Total Time: About 3 hours
This is the homemade way to extract pumpkin juice. A juicer could also be used instead.
Ingredients
- 1 Whole pumpkin
- 1 teaspoon Sea salt
Instructions
1. Cut pumpkin in half; scrape out seeds and spread on a cookie sheet for roasted pumpkin seeds. Sprinkle inside pumpkin and pumpkin seeds with a pinch of sea salt.
2. Prepare enough extra cookie sheets to hold pumpkin halves with a small amount of olive oil or spray with cooking oil. Place pumpkin halves, cut side up on cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees F. for several hours, until done. Check pumpkins about every 20 minutes or so and spoon off any accumulated liquid.
3. Once your pumpkin has baked until tender (the shell will have collapsed a bit), remove from the oven allow to cool. Once the pumpkin is cool enough to handle, scoop the pumpkin flesh into a fine mesh strainer over a bowl to catch the strained juice. Using a spoon, mash the pumpkin against the sieve to press out the juice from the pumpkin. You will be left with pumpkin puree in the strainer to use for pumpkin pie, pumpkin pasties, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin biscuits, or whatever pumpkin recipe you choose.
Note: Any time you cook fresh pumpkin for pies, save the juice and freeze it. That way when you need plenty of pumpkin juice you will already have it on hand.

Mulled Mead

- Serves: 8
- Prep Time: 10 min
- Total Time: 15 min
Mulled Mead is the house specialty of the The Three Broomsticks, and a must for any visitor! This is a mock mead recipe that anyone can put together quickly. In ancient Celtic times, mead (wine made from honey) was consumed in great quantities; both chilled in the creek in a bag made from a lamb's stomach or warmed over the hearth on a cold winter's eve.
Ingredients
- 1 quart May wine
- 1 cup gingerale
- 1 cup of honey
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
- 1 cup ammaretto
Instructions
1. Add all ingredients to a kettle, and bring to a boil on the stove.
2. As it comes to boil, a skin may form on the surface. Skim it off, turn heat down to simmer and continue to stir just until honey is dissolved and the scum dissipates.

Toad in the Hole
Harry Potter Party Recipe

- Serves: Serves 8
Toad in the Hole is an old English dish dating back to the late 1600's consisting of bits of left-over meat baked in a Yorkshire pudding batter. Today's Toad in the Hole is made with sausages baked in a Yorkshire pudding and is usually served with vegetables and gravy on the side.
This makes for an easy, yet hearty dish to add to your Harry Potter Party's Buffet table. Usually the sausages are left whole, but for the ease of the buffet, you may want to cut the sausages in half or into bite-size pieces so that each cut square of pudding will have a toad in the hole,
I mean a piece of sausage, that can easily fit on a buffet accent plate.
Photo from Wikipedia.org
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sea salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup beef drippings or bacon fat
- 1 pound of pork or chicken sausages
Instructions
1. To make the batter, sift together in a bowl, the flour and salt.
2. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk & butter. Stir the milk (must be whole milk) and fat into the flour then beat until fluffy.
3. Whisk the eggs slightly. Pour egg mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth. Beat the batter well until large bubbles begin to rise to the surface. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
4. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
3. Pour the beef or bacon drippings into a medium-size 9 x13 rectangular baking dish and put into the oven to heat. Meanwhile, cut the sausages in half and brown in a skillet on all sides with a little bit of beer or ale. When the drippings in the baking dish are hot, carefully remove the pan from the oven. Place the half sausages in the pan in such a way that the finished pudding can be cut into squares with each square having a toad or piece of sausage.
4. Remove the batter from the refrigerator, beat it again, and pour it over the sausages. You may have to re-organize the sausage pieces so that they are all evenly spaced. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, until the pudding is puffed up around the edges and the edges are brown. Serve at once. Take the pan to the buffet table, cut the pudding into squares for easy self serve.

Pumpkin Pasties

- Serves: Makes about 3 dozen miniature pasties
This recipe was adapted from the one found at Hogwarts Celebration, but I do not know if I am giving credit where credit is due as many websites have the very same recipe.
Photo from Hogwarts Celebration
Ingredients
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 12-oz. can evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh roasted pumpkin puree or 1-1lb.can pumpkin
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 t. fresh grated nutmeg
- 1/4 c. minced or grated walnuts or pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 tsp. ground mace
- 9 oz pastry dough enough to make 2 pie crusts
Instructions
1. Mix all of the ingredients (except the pastry) in a medium bowl.
2. Spoon into a casserole dish and bake the filling in a 425 degrees F.oven for 15 minutes. Keeping oven door closed, reduce temperature to a 350 degrees F oven and continue baking for another 45 minutes or until a table knife inserted in center of dish comes out clean.
3. Cool on wire rack.
4. Roll out pastry dough thin and cut into circles approx 4" in diameter, and a little thicker than a tortilla. Reuse scraps for more pasties. Set aside, covered with a damp dish cloth while working to keep the dough from drying out.
5. Grease a cookie sheet. Get a small bowl of ice water ready.
6. Put a spoonful of the cool pumpkin mixture towards one side of the center of the circle. With your finger, dip into the ice water and moisten around the edge of the circle. Fold the pastry over the filling into a half-circle and firmly crimp the edges closed. Slice three small slits in the top for venting, place on the greased cookie sheet you have prepared. Continue until the cookie sheet is full, leaving a space between each pasty.
7. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 8 minutes or until crust is a light golden-brown. Don't over bake. Great served at room-temperature, then you don't have to worry about your guests possibly burning their mouths from the steaming hot pumpkin inside!

Deathly Hallows Cookies
- Serves: About 2 dozen
- Prep Time: 30 minutes
- Total Time: 55 minutes
Deathly Hallows cookies are actually shortbread cookies. Rather than using the shortbread recipe that is floating around the Internet for these cookies, I am giving you my Grandmother's Irish-Scot shortbread recipe. This Irish shortbread recipe is probably 100 years old (could be older), is easy to make and delicious.
Photo from The Craftinomicon
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup butter (Irish unsalted is the best)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/8 t. salt
- a clean bottlecap or other small circular cut-out device
- cookie cutter
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together butter, sugar and salt. With the mixer on low, add flour gradually. Continue mixing until dough comes together to form a ball. Cut the ball in half so that you now have two (2) balls.
3. Transfer dough to a lightly floured work surface; knead each ball of dough and pat into a wheel or circle about a 1/2-1/4-inch thick and prick with a fork at even intervals. Be careful not to over work dough or it will get tough. *Transfer wheels onto a baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
4. Bake until golden brown around the edges; about 40 minutes; or until just golden. Once it comes out of the oven, cut into wedges, or triangles before it cools.
Or You May Cut the Cookies:
1. Roll or pat out dough to about 1/4-inch thickness, dusting rolling pin with flour as necessary to prevent sticking. Using a triangle coolie cutter, a round cookie cutter, or a knife, cut out dough. * Transfer to two baking sheets lined with parchment paper; spacing about 1/2-inch apart. Gather up any scraps, gently re-roll, and repeat cutting process.
2. Transfer baking sheet to oven and bake until shortbread just begins to turn golden, about 20 - 25 minutes. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool. Shortbread may be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
* To make the Deathly Hollows symbol:
Before transferring cookies to the cookie sheets, press the bottlecap or other circular object into the dough in the style of the 'Deathly Hallows' symbol. Next press a line into the dough down through the middle of the circle to create the wand part of the symbol.
Note:
Because of its high fat content, Irish butter only needs a few minutes to come to room temperature. It is best when used 15 minutes after removing from the refrigerator.

Cauldron Cakes I
Spice Cakes from Harry Potter
- Serves: 24 (2 - 12 cupcake pans)
- Prep Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 25 mins
Recipe from Michael J. Esswein
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon REAL vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- 1/8 freshly ground nutmeg
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix eggs, sugar, butter, cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla in large mixing bowl on whip for 2 minutes.
3. Mix other solid ingredients and milk in gradually in the large mixing bowl.
4. Put batter in muffin tins (DO NOT FILL TOO HIGH - about 3/4 full). Bake 25 minutes.
5. Decorate with your choice of frosting.
6. These cakes go well with honey.
Note: Cream Cheese Frosting works well. Add a little yellow food coloring gel and lemon curd to the frosting. Cut out a little hollow in the cupcake and pipe in the yellow frosting. Make cauldron handles out of fondant, chocolate strings or licorice strings and add to the cupcakes. Cute & Tasty!
Cauldron Cakes II

- Serves: 24 small muffins
- Prep Time: 40 minutes
- Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
Photo from Better Homes & Gardens
Purchase 2 dozen (24) chocolate fudge cupcakes or pre-bake from your favorite recipe. You can keep it simple and semi-homemade like I do by using a boxed devil's food cake mix. I just add to the mix as you will see below. Use small muffin cup tins, not the ones for huge muffins.
Ingredients
- 1 18-oz. box devil's food or dark chocolate cake mix
- 1 5.9-oz. box instant chocolate pudding
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup melted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 16-oz. packages semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 carton prepare dark chocolate frosting
- 4 jars lemon curd***
- 2 Tablespoons butter****
- 1 Green gel tube frosting
- 1 tube edible silver or purple candy star s or glitter sprinkles
- 1 package black string licorice
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Mix cake and pudding mixes, sour cream*, butter**, beaten eggs and water. Stir in one (1) package of chocolate chips. Reserve the second bag for the cauldron feet.
3. Grease the muffin tins very well. Pour batter into cups ONLY 1/3 of the way. You don't want them rising to high for the cauldrons.
4. Put muffin pans into moderate heated (350) oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, depending on your oven. Check them at 20 minutes to see how they are doing. Check by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean the cauldron cakes are done.
5. Cool cakes for one (1) hour. Remove from tins and set aside.
Prepare Cakes:
1. If using store bought cakes, remove paper lining. Slice off the top of each cupcake to make a flat bottom. The cupcakes will be inverted so the top is now the bottom and you want them to sit flat. This gives you more of a cauldron shape than a cupcake shape. Hollow out the bottom (what is now the top) of each cupcake with a melon baller or spoon; whichever is easier for you. Set on sheets of waxed paper or parchment.
2. Pour some of the chocolate chips into a small bowl. You will need 96 bits for 24 cupcakes.
3. Melt the 2 T. butter in a small saucepan. Scoop the ready made dark chocolate frosting into the melted butter. Heat on a low heat stirring; until liquefied and runny. Using a pair of tongs, dip the cup cake, flat bottom side, into the chocolate up to the rim of the cauldron. Turn upside down and place 4 bits, spacing evenly in the chocolate for the cauldron "feet". Set down on the waxed paper, on it's now top without the chocolate to dry. Repeat for all of the cupcakes.
4. Once the cupcakes ate dry, revert and set them on their "feet". Fill each scooped out cavity with the lemon curd.
5. Decorate it with green gel tube frosting. Sprinkle the small candy stars onto the fillings. Push the ends of the licorice into opposite sides of the cupcake to make a handle.
Make-Ahead Tip:
Store decorated cupcakes in airtight container up to 24 hours.

Notes:
* Yogurt may be substituted for sour cream.
** Oil may be substituted, but butter makes richer cakes and brings chocolate flavor.
*** Lemon pie filling may be substituted for the Lemon Curd.
**** If easier for you, just frost the Cauldron Cake bottoms.
Chocolate Frogs Recipe

- Serves: 18 frogs
You can use chocolate for the frogs or you can substitute white chocolate morsels, add 3 drops of peppermint oil (use a toothpick to add drops of peppermint oil) and call them Peppermint Toads.
Ingredients
- 12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips morsels
- One teaspoon grated dark chocolate
- Frog molds
- Candy eyes
Instructions
1. Melt the chocolate in a microwave set on high for 2 minutes, then stir and keep microwaving for 15 seconds intervals until it's completely melted.
2. Once the chocolate is melted completely, add the teaspoon of grated dark chocolate and stir until smooth.
3. Pour the melted chocolate into the frog molds, reserving about a teaspoon for later use. Keep this chocolate at room temperature.
4. Do not overfill the molds. Tap the tray of molded frogs lightly to release any air bubbles.
5. Refrigerate the filled molds for 30 minutes or until firm.
6. Once the chocolate in the molds are firm, remove the frogs from the fridge, invert mold and gently squeeze out the chocolate frogs. Place on a tray and tack on the the eyes with a small paintbrush using the extra melted chocolate you reserved .
7. Next place the frogs in small paper cups and then put the frogs back in the refrigerator so you won't be tempted to eat them before the party!
8. Repeat the steps for as many frogs as you will need for your party. Make enough that the guest can fill a small goody bag to take home with them.

Harry Potter Sorting Hat
Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff...no Gryffindor! Which house will the sorting hat put you into? This Harry Potter Sorting Hat is a very realistic replica of the Sorting Hat tat was used in the Harry Potter movies. The hat is made of soft, thick fabric and it has the features of the face sewn in. Added Bonus! Look for a fortune hidden in a secret pocket in the lining! This one can be used as a puppet too. Just move the mouth and sort each wizard (party guest) into the appropriat house for teams to play the party games.
Tip: Put a walkie-talkie or a small baby monitor in the hat and the kids will be so surprised when the hat speaks to them, telling them which team or house they will be joining.
As each person enters the party, have a chair or stool for them to sit on and use the sorting hat to divide your guest into the 4 different Hogwart's houses. These will be the 4 teams to compete in any games you might want to set up at the party. Up for a game of Quidditch? They now have Quidditch board games and video games that can be played indoors if the weather is nasty or too dark outdoors.

Setting Up You Divination Classroom Table
Set up a round table for your fortunetelling area with fortune telling tools such as a crystal ball, a deck of tarot cards, and a bag of runes a book on Palmistry or a book on Numerology. If you know a psychic, a palm reader or a Tarot card reader you could invite to the party all the better. If not, have fun with it. Pick up a crystal ball, or make one, get a deck of Tarot cards, a bag of Rune's. Go to the library and borrow a book on Numerology and Palmistry, or buy them here. Have fun telling people's fortunes. Your guest might want to try there luck at reading fortunes or working out the numerology numbers. Make a game out of it where the teams can win points towards prizes. There is only one thing that is the most important thing to remember when telling fortunes at your party - have fun and don't take it too seriously. You are not professional gifted psychics .....or are you?
Crystal Ball Fogger

Tell fortunes at your Harry Potter Halloween party using this crystal ball in the Divination "Classroom". The Crystal Ball Fogger has skeletal fingers gripping the ball and comes with a fogger and lights. Decoration measures approximately 7.5" high. Fogger uses regular tap water. Be prepared in the Divination Classroom to give a reading with this deck of Tarot cards. This acclaimed deck created by practising Druids combines the two great streams of Western pagan tradition--Wicca and Druidry. Its powerful images have emerged from a vast store of teachings and story-telling rooted in the past, and also from the ancient concepts of numerology, which have provided the artist, Will Worthington, with inspiration from Sacred Geometry.

Spooky Music for a Harry Potter Hogwart's Halloween Party
Adding Music to the Mix
Play music from any of these recording artist for your Harry Potter Halloween Party. They are truly the best of macabre music. The only one I can not personally vouch for is "Hogwarts". I have not yet bought and played this one.
Place some speakers outside for the welcome of the arriving guest and the trick-or-treaters. Some of this music will scare the hell out of them. HeHe!
Make a recording of moaning and crying to play automatically whenever anyone enters the bathroom; just like "Moaning Myrtle".
If you hire a band for the party have them dress in ghost costumes. The Hogwart's band are ghosts.
