Harry Potter LEGO Hogwarts Castle

What can I get for a Harry Potter fan for Christmas?
This is the dilemma that I faced last year when searching for a present for my son. He had either listened to or read all of the Harry Potter books and wanted more. He decided to create Harry Potter's world but didn't have enough LEGOs. He told me he needed to make a school shaped like a castle but without enough LEGO pieces we found it impossible.
Then I discovered that LEGO had created a set with my son in mind. The Harry Potter Castle set by Legos had all the pieces with directions as well. When my son found it under the Christmas Tree, his eyes lit up! He tore into the packaging and the urgency I saw in his movements was all the thank you I needed to know that this was the perfect Christmas present.
Well a year has gone by and there has not been a day that he didn't play with his LEGO Hogwarts Castle. He became Harry Potter learning all about wizardry, playing Quidditch with the Weasleys, and memorizing spells with Hermione in the rooms of Hogwarts.
If your child loves the Harry Potter stories as much as my son, LEGO Hogwarts Castle would be the perfect gift this Christmas.

Hogwarts Castle is the Lego version of the place where Harry Potter went to school. Clear instructions explain exactly how to put together the 682 pieces of this very detailed castle where Harry learned to become a wizard.
Amazing details of the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle include portraits that actually revolve, spaces for owls to live in the spires, and flames that rise up from torches.
The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle includes Lego versions of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Professor Snape, Hagrid, and Professor Dumbledore.
“Mommy,
Could you please help me make Hogwarts Castle?”

We set up Hogwarts on top of the pool table on a large piece of plywood covered in large thin LEGO sheets. We had tried felt, AstroTurf and a green Berber rug but the LEGO pieces kept falling over.

Where could you store your Harry Potter Legos Castle set?
Legos Storage

Harry Potter fans can have quite a collection of Legos pieces that may clutter up your living room. Look at this elegant coffee table. It can double as a place to store all of your child's Harry Potter Legos Castle pieces. Just sweep the Legos pieces into the bins below the coffee table whenever guests arrive.

- These first Hogwart sets were expensive when they came out and although they weren't as sophisticated looking as some of the latter models, they did have more 'play' actions instead of being more of a stagnate playset. I only bought 1 back then, but apparently they've appreciated substantially -- better than Gringott's Bank I'd say. ;)

- These Harry Potter lego sets look great. My kids have outgrown these now but they would have loved them going back just a couple of years.

- The really great thing about this is that it totally holds its value. We had Hogwarts and practically every other Harry Potter Lego set there was. My kids had a blast collecting the sets and putting them together. I covered a big folding table with green felt, and made a little lake of blue felt, and we had the entire Lego Hogwarts set up in our playroom for 2-3 years! The kids' friends all loved it. When the kids outgrew it, we carefully dismantled each set (I had kept all the directions), bagged each one up separately, and sold the whole shebang on eBay for $580! Woo Hoo!
