Harry Potter Knits

The Harry Potter movies have brought hand knit scarves to a new height. Knitting is also featured in the books, but it is hard to bring a brief description of Hermione's elf hats to reality. Dozens of Harry Potter fans watch the movies, and then covet the knitwear shown in snowy shots. They have taken the time to reverse design these patterns, enabling the rest of us to re-create these items for ourselves.

This lens will focus on Harry Potter knitting patterns; some inspired by the movies, and others inspired by the whole series. Look below, and you will also see some of the Harry Potter items that I've created myself!

“'No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines,' said Dumbledore. 'I do love knitting patterns.'”

Update 11-24-10

I have finally seen the Deathly Hallows movie. I will be looking out for knitting patterns for Hermione's hat and hand warmers.

I love harry potter. For some reason it didn't even cross my mind to attempt to make my own HP gear. I know how to crochet and have been thinking of taking up knitting as well, I'm so going to start learning now. :D
