Hasselblad 500cm
The Hasselblad 500cm camera reflects the fastest shutter speed and the shutter type, already an established practice: a 1/500th second and the Central lens shutter made by Compur.
The Hasselblad 500c/m was made from 1970-1994, and was the replacement to the 500c. The only major change from the 500c was that the focus screens were interchangeble, so this single component could now be replaced, instead of the entire system.
The classic Hasselblad 500C with leaf shuttered Compur lenses was launched and since, the 500 series, including the 500CM, 501C, 503CX, 503CXi, 500 Classic and 500CW have all retained the original 1600F modular concept with improvements to light baffling, shutter release and light meter accessory viewfinders. An electric motorised version of the 500 was launched in 1965 as the Hasselblad 500EL with updated models such as the 500 ELM, ELX and ELD gradually being introduced.
But, which camera appeals to you. The first time I played with a Hassleblad 500 in a camera store - I just fell in love with it.

Hasselblad Cameras
The new Hasselblad camera has gained a reputation over the years for its robustness, mechanical accuracy and for having a wide range of high-quality lenses, making it the medium-format camera of choice for generations of professional photographers.Victor Hasselblad AB reinforced this reputation by making the most of the fact that their camera had been chosen by NASA for use in space, although not without modifications.
Hasselblad Model 500 C
The Hasselblad 500 series camera system consists of 4 major parts.
The body, which is where the mirror is located, and is the central part of the system.
The Finder, there are many different types of veiwfinders, but in this review the waist level finder (WLF) will be covered.
The lens, which is where the leaf shutter, aperature and shutter settings, focus, and flash hookup, is located (so the lens actually does more than the body).
The film back. These some in 6x6 and 6x4.5, but i use 6x6 backs so thats all i can speak for, although the only difference is a film mask inside them. A 220 back gets 24 exp. per roll, 120 12 per roll, and 70mm gets somewhere around 100
Use the interchangeable focusing screen of the vintage Hasselblad 500 C / M SLR film camera to get a clear preview of the framed object. Incorporating a bayonet lens mount, this Hasselblad SLR film camera lets you firmly place a compatible flash unit.
This Hasselblad camera has shutter speed of 1 second to 1/500th second, giving you enough scope to vary the exposure times of images you capture. Capture the ambience in the same light settings using the Hasselblad SLR film camera with great flash sync.
This Hasselblad camera is mechanical and does not need batteries, making it more economical to operate. Capture images in large film formats of 6 x 6 cm and 6 x 4.5 cm using the Hasselblad 500 C / M SLR film camera.

Hasselblad 500 Review
The Hasselblad 500CM is probably the medium format system with the fewest compromises. Though not the lightest medium format camera around, a Hasselblad is certainly very light and compact for its class. A 500CM (or the newer 501CM) body with 80/2.8 planar lens is not much heavier or larger than the famously lightweight Rollei TLRs with the same lens.
The Hasselblad 500CM can be configured to closely approximate most other medium-format lines, with minimum sacrifice in quality (at least up to 16x20 enlargement).

The Hasselblad System
Everything is Interchangable
Following the design principle of the previous models, the Victor Hasselblad AB made the V-series completely modular: Not only the lenses, but also the winding crank, the viewfinder and the film magazine are exchangeable during normal operation of the camera. With the introduction of the 500C/M, also the focussing screen became easily exchangeable
