Located atop a hillside in Asheville, this Inn and Resort has hosted many people throughout the years. It is said that the Pink Lady resides in the hotel. If you're lucky, the bellhop will take you to her floor and tell you a little about her story. She is said to have fallen from the interior balconies to her death. Her name comes from the pink flowing mist gown like image seen by staff and guests a like. She is known to be a friendly ghost and appearing in the presence of children. Erwin High School
Warren Wilson College
Just outside the heart of Asheville, NC this small college is known for its environmental friendly behaviors and efforts. However, one of the known stories of this college is one of a former slaughterhouse. It is said that the basement of one of the buildings at one time was a slaughterhouse to cattle. Many have experienced the sounds of cattle shrieks along with the smell of blood and meat. Helen's Bridge
Located atop Beaucatcher Mountain in the heart of downtown Asheville, a old bridge is the site of an image of a lady. She is said to have lost her child in a house fire, and at the loss of her only child she committed suicide off the bridge. Her spirit supposedly roams the mountain streets near the bridge spooking numerous teenagers and thriller seekers. Battery Park Hotel
Situated in the middle of downtown Asheville, this building holds its own haunted account. It is said that a woman haunts this building that is no longer a hotel but apartment buildings. A woman was found dead in room 224 in 1936. She had been brutally murdered. People claim they have seen her spirit around the building property. This building is also the home to many suicides over the years. A feeling of sadness can be felt in certain parts.
