Where were you on May 25, 1977? If you were like most everybody else in the world, you were at the premier of George Lucas' epic, futuristic drama "Star Wars".

After more than 40 years and 7 sequels,you may have trouble keeping all the episodes in order, but your kids sure don't. They know when Yoda first appeared on the scene. They understand every grunt that comes out of Chewie's mouth. And they know exactly who Luke Skywalker's father is.

Star Wars toys and games are still some of the most popular at the toy store and sales on Darth Vader costumes explode every Halloween. And every kid, boy or girl, has a light saber tucked somewhere close at hand. Just in case.

If you're tired of the same old Princess and Pirate themed birthday parties, why not look to the stars for inspiration?

May 4th is "May the Force (Fourth) Be With You Day" and your child will love a Star Wars Birthday Party! And if you don't have kids, never fear. You can have an adult "Star Wars" party and have even more fun!

Star Wars fans were not the first to introduce the line "May the Fourth Be with You"; When Margaret Thatcher was elected Britain's first female Prime Minister on May 4, 1979, her party placed an advertisement in The London Evening News that said: "May the Fourth Be with You, Maggie. Congratulations."

Have A Star Wars Movie Marathon

Even if you don't have a birthday in May it's still fun to have a May The Fourth Be With You party. May 4th is the official Star Wars Day where fans gather together to celebrate and honor everything "Star Wars."

    Its the weekend and the party can continue, I had never heard of May the Fourth Be With You but I was among the millions that was starry eyed in theaters back in 1977, what fun and what an industry Star Wars created...May the force be with you!
