Have a Very Merry and Green Christmas
Christmas should feel good!
Christmas to me is about family and fun!
Finding ways to help others, special surprises and beautiful creative handmade gifts have always been a favorite of mine. Treasures that bring smiles to your loved ones because they know they were created from your heart.
My mother always makes these very special christmas cards, often using old christmas cards to create something new and adorable. She adds embellishments and they are just adorable. I honestly think that I love looking at her special cards and gift tags better than the gift inside.
As a mother, nothing has touched my heart more than those special handmade gifts that my children have created for me. My daughter once made a cookbook with recipes cut from magazines at school. I still have that very special cookbook to this day, some eighteen years later just looking at it warms my heart with sweet memories.
Our family has a family tradition of making gram cracker houses for christmas. Each person brings some different type of candies, frosting and foil covered recycled cardboard to place our treasured houses on while we build them. Frosting glues the walls together. It really isn't about the end product of who builds the best house, but the fun we share and love for one another as we share that special time together.
Christmas should feel good! I have created a list of different ideas from others. Fun crafts and ways to "go green" and recycle those things you would probably just throw away, make some adorable gifts and share time with your loved ones this christmas.
