Learn by Reading Children's Books

I fell ill on vacation and had to rest a lot, I got a few books for Spanish Children aged 6 and upwards from the library. I used a dictionary when necessary but found you don't have to need to know every word exactly to understand the meaning. In fact you are learning/absorbing words by understanding the context JUST AS YOU DID when you were learning to read English all those years ago.!

I read El Ratoncito Perez (Tooth Fairy)

I am now for the first time listening to Spa

Why You Should Encourage Your Kids

I didn't study languages hard at school because "Everyone speaks English anyway". It's so hard for a kid to see the future benefits or the thrill of being in a foreign country and chatting way with the locals.

One angle to try is that learning a foreign language actually increases your intelligence, learning a musical instrument has the same effect.

Spanish - English Dual Texts Books are Easiest Way to Learn

I have been learning Spanish by reading Spanish Readers for Children this worked well very well, but I've now found even better English-Spanish Dual Text Books. I initially was against these as I bought one for Adults which was too difficult. Now I get those intended for children. One other tip get one on a subject that actually interests you.
