Here are some tips
*Read the instructions carefully and follow all the steps.

*Apply the haircolor carefully, making sure you don't miss out any bits.

Section the top strands, grabbing random pieces to keep the colors random, twist the bundle and pin it up.
Do the same to the under layer, which stays bleached, leaving the middle layer free.
Place a piece of foil under each two-inch strand.
Paint the strand with dye cream and fold the foil over itself to seal and cover the hair.
Repeat until all yellow sections are finished.

Shampoo hair using a ph acid balanced shampoo, towel dry.
Empty desired amount into a plastic bowl (1/2 bottle for short hair / full bottle for long hair). Apply evenly with a tint brush.
Do not apply to scalp, but 1/2 inch from scalp. saturate hair thoroughly. comb evenly through the hair until it becomes frothy.
Leave on hair about 25 minutes.
Rinse hair thoroughly, wash away from the face. Works best on hair pre-lightened to a very light blonde.

Part of a letter that Hayley wrote for Seventeen Magazine:
If you dye your hair any shade of red you can attest to this: Red hair dye seems to hate us and hardly holds the way we want it to. You gotta fight for it, man! If I go 3 or 4 days between washes and only wash with color safe shampoo and freezing cold water I can usually get a good 3 weeks of vibrant colored hair.
So, if you're like me and you love coloring your hair try to part from the shower a few days...liberate yourself. Use Johnson's baby powder or Bumble and Bumble's hair powder (which comes in a few different colors) in the roots to keep your hair looking full and (sorta) clean between washes.
