Hazardous Weather Quiz: Hiking or Camping in Bad Weather

This was the most insane hail storm or storm in general I have ever seen! it was may 16th 2010. Sorry about all of the oh my Gods. I was just in shock.

I was actually on vacation, and not a storm chase vacation when I shot this video. Little did I know that after a long day of fun and sun that I'd capture some great lightning. I was hoping that we'd see a good thunderstorm while I was there, and my prayers were certainly answered! The first part of this video was shot from the 12th floor balcony of our hotel (The Coral Beach Resort). The view was looking towards the northwest as the storms approached Myrtle Beach. The second part was shot from the beach looking eastward as the storms moved out over the ocean waters. If you like the video, please rate and subscribe! Thanks for watching!! On May 21, 2011, storm chaser/photographer Chad Cowan documented this extremely photogenic supercell in northeast Kansas. In the first part of the video, the wall cloud and funnel(s) were directly over downtown Topeka, and it appeared that Topeka was about to take a direct hit. Luckily, the storm did not produce a tornado until it was northeast of town. After the sun set, Chad dropped south and documented a storm that had developed near Emporia, which produced an EF-3 tornado in the town of Reading where it destroyed over 20 houses. The final shot in this video is of that storm approaching and blacking out the horizon. Shot with the Canon 5D Mark II and 17-40 f/4L wide angle lens.
