Celebrating the Green
They say on St. Patrick's Day everyone is a little bit Irish. Who wouldn't want to take part in all the bright colors and fun that come with this holiday? So sit back and enjoy as your kids have fun creating these bright and colorful crafts that are easy on the pocketbook and easy to do.
Puffy Shamrocks
Colored paper
Scissors
Glitter
String
Paint, paintbrushes or sponges, markers, or other things to decorate with
Glue
Stapler
Newspaper
What to Do:
1. Cut two shamrocks from white or light colored paper.
2. Decorate one side of each piece using sponge paint, string paint, markers, glue and glitter, etc.
3. Staple the two shapes together, leaving a hole at the top for stuffing.
4. Stuff with crumpled up newspaper then staple the hole closed.

Markers or crayons
Scissors
Construction paper
Glue
What to Do:
1. Draw a face on a shamrock.
2. Glue on accordian folded arms and legs.
Shimmering Shamrocks
Construction paper
Glue
Salt or sugar
Green cellophane
What to Do:
1. Cut out shamrock shapes from green paper.
2. Glue around the edge of the shamrock then sprinkle salt or sugar on the glue. Or you can cut holes in the shamrock and glue the green cellophane behind it.
