HCG Diet Dangers
Well there is no solid evidence at all about any risks whatsoever of HCG itself to the body, the risks mostly involve the way in which the diet is implimented.
High doses of HCG have in fact been approved by the FDA to be used in fertility clinics, but they have yet to approve it as a weight loss product. When you consider that Homeopathic HCG involves only low doses of it, in fact doses around 10 times lower than those approved for use, you really start to see how harmless HCG itself is
But be sure to choose an FDA certified site to buy from, as the quality of this product can vary, and you're at danger of whatever else they might have put in it that you don't know about!

The New Beginnings Weight Loss Clinic in Florida, for example, has prescribed the HCG injections to over 3,000 patients since 2008. Seeing a massive recent jump in interest, they charge $495 for a 23 day plan, and $595 for a 40 day plan.
This is notable for a couple of reasons. For one, that far more than people need to pay to get the HCG diet benefits, because injections are a lot more expensive than drops.
But it is reassuring that this type of medication is now FDA approved, and available from in-house physicians.
The suggested calorie diet
HCG is usually combined with a low calorie diet of around 500 calories. Be aware that you should stick to low stress exercise on this diet, such as walking, as your body will not have the energy to endure high stress workouts, and you might find yourself at risk of the dangers associated with fateage.
Be aware that you might experience mild symptoms associated with having a low calorie diet such as irritability and light-headedness.

HCG Diet Drops Vs. HCG Injections
Studies coming out since late 1960s have indicated that the human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) hormone stimulates the hypothalamus to increase metabolism. It helpes to gradually reprogram our bodies to release more of our stored fat as energy to burn. With this as a greater source of energy, we don't need as much food and our hunger decreases.One of the main decisions to make when deciding upon this diet, is whether or not to use the injected or drop based means of administration. Here's some useful information on that subject.
HCG injections
HCG injections have been available for many years as a weight loss option. Much more recently, HCG diet drops have been introduced as an alternative.
HCG Injections involve taking a shot of HCG every day. I advise against trying this method unless you have a doctors prescription and are checking in with them regularly, and following instructions about injecting the HCG precisely. Injections always involve risks such as blood clots, bruising, infections, soreness, and cysts!
As doctors are often unwilling to prescribe HCG injections because of the risks involved, some people choose to get them illegally from abroad, and when doing so, really don't know what they are buying, and what might be in it!
HCG diet drops
More recently, a drop based HCG diet plan has become available, which just involves dropping the liquid under the tongue. There are several major benefits to this method over the HCG injections.
It's a lot cheaper, doesn't require a prescription, and only involves taking a much lower dose compared to the injection method to get the same result. It saves a great deal of time that you would spend preparing the syringe with the other method, and of course, doesn't involve all the risks associated with injections.
But be sure to choose an FDA certified site before you buy, in order to get the real deal.
Be sure to check with your doctor before starting on HCG diet drops, but I doubt there would be an issue at all, assuming you get them from a good source.
Personal experience with the HCG diet drops
Some people claim to have lost 2 lbs a day with this diet, but to me that suggests that they've gone too far with it and are putting themselves at risk. From my personal experience, I lost 21lbs in my first month using it, which was just incredible! I feel like a totally different person now.
Interestingly, the effects seem to be more likely to be permanent for this diet compared to others, which goes some way to explaining why it's remained popular for so many years. This has held true for me, I've managed to keep the weight off and no longer need to use the diet or the hormones!
Conclusions
Deciding on the oral method over injections is really a no-brainer with all this taken into consideration. HCG diet drops are easier and quicker to use, natural, cheaper, and safer than injections.

Background about the HCG Diet
Human chorionic gonadotropin was first discovered in the 1950's. It was Dr. ATW Simeons, a British endocrinologist, that first realised it could be used to help with weight loss, while studying pregnant women in India. Discovering that small amounts of this hormone assist in the burning of colories from excess adipose deposits in our bodies.HCG hormones are in fact naturally occurring hormones produced by pregnant women's embryos in the first few days of pregnancy, and later by a part of the placenta. It has historically been clinically used to induce ovulation in women's overies, and testosterone production in men's testes. HCG is collected from the urine to be extracted to make the weight loss product.
Dr Simeon studied women in third world countries that were on low calorie diets (VLCDs), and deciding to then try combining the HCG hormone with such diets. His patients began to lose weight, and were mostly able to keep it off.
His research concluded that the injections did more than just help his patients lose weight, but also to reshape their bodies without the need for exercise. This was attributed to the patient's changing of fat tissue from adipose tissue, fat in the thighs, mid-section, and buttocks, into structural fat, which cushions the organs and the bottoms of our feet.
The findings from these studies were added to his manuscript "Pounds and Inches; A New Approach to Obesity", which included a step-by-step plan to lose weight by combining HCG and a low calorie diet that is the basis for the various HCG diet plans available today.
Dr Simeon pointed out that the main reasons why this diet plan is much safer than just deciding to go on a 500 calorie diet without the hormone, is both because the HCG hormone changes our bodies to burn more of the energy it needs from our fat cells than usual, and also because of the B vitamins in the supplements that support our dietary needs.
The HCG diet is effective because of the way in which the HCG changes the body's treatment of fat and reduces the dieter's hunger. It earned its name being dubbed as the cure for obesity.
The development of HCG over the years
The popularity of the HCG diet in fact fell over the years that followed, as not enough follow up research was carried out to support Dr Simeon's research. Several studies were carried out in the 1970s, but they failed to follow Dr Simeon's protocol properly and the results were therefore not as significant as they could have been towards the development of HCG as a weight loss treatment, and the investigation of whether or not HCG side effects exist.
As a result, the FDA didn't offer approval of HCG as a weight loss treatment that's better than common dieting, and the interest in it lay mostly dormant for many years.
Fast forward to the present day
In 2007, Kevin Tradeau released "The Weight Loss Cure, What THEY Don't Want You To Know". This began a new phrase of interest in the HCG diet plan that has been gradually growing since. He provided more in-depth information about the diet than anyone had since Dr Simeon and he got plenty of publicity.
It wasn't long before a few pioneering clinics began providing HCG for weight loss purposes for the first time, as there had never been any evidence across all those years of any HCG side effects at all. Only side effects suffered by people that weren't following the accompanying HCG diet plan properly.
Around this time a lot of people started to buy HCG injections from abroad, carrying the associated risks that come with the needle method of administration, and buying low grade products. In response, homeopathic HCG diet drops became more and more readily available from FDA approved pharmacies within the USA, that offered a safe alternative to cater for this growing weight loss trend.
The HCG Diet Council has been involved in trying to manage the issues around people getting low grade products from abroad, and risking injecting themselves. And to encourage more education among health care practitioners about the HCG diet plan, as more and more people have been seeking support from them, only to find them ignorant about the diet plan, which has a massive recent growth in popularity, after years of being relatively unheard of.
HCG is consistently recognized by weight loss clinics for its capacity to help patients lose a lot of weight. While the FDA have yet to recognize HCG as a weight loss method, they have determined that it's a safe drug to use.
