The HD7832 Supreme coffee maker from Philips brews a single serving of fresh gourmet coffee in less than a minute at the touch of a button.Using pre-measured Senseo coffee pods from Douwe Egberts, the system is hassle-free, easy to clean, and guarantees a fresh, flavorful brew whenever you use it. The coffee maker incorporates a mild 1.2-bar pressure system together with a special spray head to produce an optimally balanced coffee-filtering process. It also has a built in patented frothing chamber, which ensures a frothy coffee layer.
All you have to do is fill the removable water reservoir with water, insert a senseo coffee pod and lock the lid into place. Put your cup or mug underneath the head and push the button and voila - in less than a minute, you will be savoring a coffee shop quality, great-tasting premium coffee.

How the HD7832 Makes Frothy Coffee
The mild pressure system built into the Senseo coffee maker heats the water to a consistant 205 degrees Fahrenheit in a boiler. The perfectly heated water is then forced through the machine via the mild pressure system, which brews at 1.2 bars. It is evenly distributed over the pre-measured coffee pod or pods, exiting through a small hole in the pod tray. The HD7832 includes a full feature interactive LCD display, with selections for a variety of cup sizes, thereby allowing the strength of each cup to be customized. The LCD screen has a series of three illuminated bars which correspond to the coffee volume and strength required. To brew a three, four or five ounce cup of coffee, you just need to use one Senseo coffee pod and select one, two or three volume bars respectively. If you prefer a larger cup of either six, eight or ten ounces, then use two pods, and select one, two or three volume select bars, respectively. Larger Capacity Water Reservoir on the HD7832
The water tank as well as all other removable parts such as the pod holders, coffee spout, plastic drip tray, and metal cup tray, are dishwasher-safe making clean up easy.

Makers of Senseo Coffee Pods
Douwe Egberts was started in 1753, by husband and wife Egbert Douwes and Akke Thysses, in the Dutch hamlet of Joure. From their modest store named De Witte Os or White Ox in English, they started selling coffee, tea and tobacco. While Egbert Douwes mainly sold to the local villagers to start with, his son, Douwe Egberts, who joined the business in 1780, began a process of business expansion by supplying store owners outside the village.Douwes built up a strong reputation in the area and slowly but surely, the Douwe Egberts brand name became well-known throughout Holland. During the years that followed, the business became a recognized market leader inside The Netherlands for its core tea and coffee products.
Since 1978, Douwe Egberts has been associated with the Sara Lee Corporation, which made it possible for the company to enter the global market. Nowadays, Douwe Egberts is the second largest coffee roaster in the world.
